A buddy of mine where i was doing some contract work told the people there i was so smart I did my own chemo :D so I like to mess with folks and tell them I got this off of chemo4...

Re: Mouth Sores

This may or may not help but I had someone give me a hot tip on some scripts to ask my dentist about getting to prevent mouth sores. My dentist is a customer of mine and and he shot it straight to me, 3 steps to prevent mouth sores and infections, no Rx required (see disclaimer below!): 1. During ch...

Re: Afraid

I panicked before my colectomy, scared of not coming back up. Didn't help that my surgeon looked like a soap opera doctor and I was wondering if he really knew what he was doing. He knew exactly what he was doing and did a fantastic job, hope you have the same results. Will be praying for you tomorr...

Re: Help.. my DH is screaming out in pain

Hope you are at the er getting it taken care of, happened to me a few weeks ago with gastroenteritis a day before folfox round 2. When the pain gets away from you and you can't get ahead of it just go to the ER and let them handle it, worked wonders for me, got a nights rest afterwards, learned how ...

Re: Week 1 day 1 with FOLFOx...

Hey Bill you may have some fun with this. I'm an IT consultant and on round 1 I was at a customers site and someone asked about the pump and another guy there joked and said "he's so smart, he gives himself chemo". The lady bought it for a minute, so now every time I'm at a site and someon...

Re: White Blood Count/FOLFIRI

Ashlee, Nuelasta is a bear but it certainly does it's job with one shot. I get it after each round of chemo. Round 1 they told me to take Tylenol and it didn't help much I felt like I'd been in a really bad car wreck for the next 4 days, lots of bone pain in the chest, forearms, legs, hips and spine...

Re: Sittiing on the toilet causing dizziness

Not to take away from the physiological advice already mentioned here but I had a similar problem with the legs going to sleep when I was on "the bull". This used to happen to me even prior to surgery and it was becuase I tend to stoop over and rest my forearms on the thighs for extended p...
