Re: Unexplained, severe back pain! Anyone else?

Jenfer, my pain is also worse at night time, so I really hit the meds hard before I go to bed :-) Knocks me out so it is actually ok since I have trouble sleeping. But when I wake up after 6 or so hours of sleep the pain is awful because I have gone so long without anything. Ugh! If you find out any...

Re: Unexplained, severe back pain! Anyone else?

Ok, just realized I was spelling it "ADvastin". I'll blame it on chemo brain for adding the "d"! :D

Re: Unexplained, severe back pain! Anyone else?

Thanks guys. Good advice all around, and I do think that Advastin is the culprit. I have one more round before a CT scan and I'm thinking of suggesting that I take a break with the advastin this time. The pain is getting worse with each round and I can't really imagine it much worse. I have actually...

Unexplained, severe back pain! Anyone else?

Hi everyone! Been a long time since I've been on here, took me an hour to catch up :-) Quick update on me then a quick question....So, after a liver resection about a year ago, we were having high hopes, but after a break from chemo some spots showed up in my abdominal area (suck!) So back on chemo,...

Re: Stage 1 of liver resection- Questions!

Thanks for the advice Kimberly. Hope all goes well with your procedures as well. I had my appointment with my doc today and he cleared a lot of things up and I feel much more confident about the embolization now!

I'm totally into punk music - Blink 182 and All American Rejects are some of my faves! Silly music but they get my butt movin'! :D

Re: Did you see Oprah yesterday on growing your own new liver?

I totally saw that yesterday!! It was so cool! I even asked my doctor about it today at my appointment and he said it does sound very promising and hopefully and maybe we will see it in his lifetime (he is a lot older than me! :) ) It is so amazing how many new things are being developed every day!

Re: Are you ever embarrassed?

I actually have a blog where I have talked to thousands of people about every step of my journey! Including asking people to pray for me to poop after I had my colon surgery! Hee hee! My poor town knows way too much info about my personal life- but I don't care! :D

Stage 1 of liver resection- Questions!

Hi everyone! It seems like forever since I have been on here so I have spent the last hour catching up on everything. I have been crazy busy the last few months as I found out that a liver resection was finally possible!!! Yay! Back in October my surgeon said it might never be possible, but just a f...

Re: Colonoscopy Thursday -- pretty scared

Hey GM! I am glad you are taking the initiative to get yourself checked out. My prayers will be for it to all come back clear and clean! :D Hopefully it is one of the many other conditions that cause all those stomache problems. But you are definitely right about age not being a factor. I was only 2...

Re: The return of the migraines...

I hear ya! I too have suffered from those amazingly painful headaches all my life. They actually stopped when I was pregnant and then started up again after I had my kids. Now I have them pretty regularly a couple of days before each treatment. It is weird, but usually a Imitrex and a Fioricet kick ...

Re: Starting chemo and I am really scared!

You know we will all respond differently, but in my case, it has been relatively easy! I am on round number 17 and keepin' on truckin'! I have two young kiddos (one 10 month old that is currently pulling wine bottles of the shelf) and a 2 and 1/2 year old with RSV!! I have had enough energy to watch...

Happy holidays to you too Molly!! :D Thanks so much for this site. It has made this whole situation 100 times better! I have so many great family members and friends, but having others in the same place as me to talk to is a whole different kind of help!
Love you all! :P

Re: chemo question

I'm like Justsing, my shower is my reward for being "unhooked"! :D It's not like I'm running any marathons when I have Ol' Fanny (my pack's nickname) connected to me so I can hold off for a couple days to shower! I might be offending some family and friends, but they still love me!! ...

Re: First Colonoscopy Since Ileo Takedown

Good luck with the colonoscopy. I hope to be able to take the pills when I have my next one (they have to be easier than forcing down all that nasty liquid!) Will be praying that all turns out clear and the prep isn't too bad!! :D
