Question about muscle issues

Hello everyone, it's been awhile since I have posted. My husband goes in for his yearly scans this next week and praying he will be clear. I do have a question for all of you. Has anyone developed any muscle issues after chemo, and I mean like a year after chemo? A few months ago my husband has deve...

Re: Nervous CEA rise

Thank you so much for your reply. I was kind of thinking that it could be inflammation. It's just so hard not to go to thinking cancer is back. That's crazy the cea threads. I will probably look through some of them.
Thanks so much

Nervous CEA rise

My husband had his colon surgery July 24th 2019, finished chemo March 2020. His CEA was 4.9 at time of diagnosis and then has been very low since his surgery, .5, .6 and then in Sept was undetectable. He has been having some pretty bad lower and middle back pain. He went to an orthopedic dr and had ...

Good News

I haven't been on here in awhile but I have great news. It's been 1 year almost a week shy from my husbands surgery for stage 3 and he finished his chemo mid March. He had his first scans and cea checked and everything looks great. What a horrible ride this has been and I will tell all of you who ar...

Is skipping last chemo bad

My husband was due to have his last chemo last Monday, Yay so happy. However he decided to hold off due to the coronavirus outbreak. His doctor said that would be fine for no longer than 4 weeks. Well here we are today and things are worse. He is really afraid of going in to do it because he is at h...

CEA Quesition

My husband is nearing the end of his chemo, 2 left. So excited for him. He was unable to do the oxalilplatin, he did half dose once and couldn't do it again. I have a question about the CEA, when he was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer his cea was 4.6, a couple months after his surgery it was .7,...

Re: Stomach pain

Thanks Dave,
They got back to us yesterday and asked if he was constipated, and he is, they said it could be that but he's never had a pain before with constipation so we have a message into the Dr again, yesterday they didn't consult her it was just the MA, so today we messaged the dr. Just worried.

Stomach pain

My husband had a low anterior resection in July and is currently doing chemo. About 5 days ago he started waking up in the middle of the night with a pain right below his belly button, it would last maybe an hour or two then he wouldn't have it at all during the day, it seemed to only come on at nig...

Re: Side effects with chemo

So far today his stomach has been ok but he still keeps having bouts of nausea, this is day 10 is this normal? will it just keep being like this now? He is so tired of feeling sick I'm so afraid he'll just stop if it keeps going on like this.

Re: Side effects with chemo

I'm sorry to hear your husbands having a hard time too. It's so hard to watch him go through it. My husbands seems more of just severe stomach aches, he's had cramps but it's more of just bad stomach ache. It's just that this has now been going on for 5 days now. It will be very bad for hours then i...

Sorry another question about chemo but side effects

Sorry for all the questions, we actually have a call into his doctor but I doubt we will get a call back. Every treatment he seems to get some stomach upset maybe for a day, however this time he has had very bad stomach aches/cramps for like 4 days now, he is barely eating because of it. Is this nor...

Oh haha I see that now. My husband is an avid dirt bike rider so he had a crf450 for years so that was my first thought, didn't even think anything else.

Re: Chemotherapy options/help

Thank you CRguy your post was very helpful! I have been doing a lot of research on the added boost and percentage it has. Like Deb said, I just want to throw everything at this cancer, but I also don't want him to have these horrible side effect nor the permanent neuropathy, that would prevent him f...
