Re: "Carcinoma with neuroendocrine features"?

Hi there, I don't normally log on a lot lately but did today to look up something for a friend and just happened to see this post. Thought I would respond as my tumor had neuroendocrine features as well. It wasn't common and was quite confusing and out of three labs only one (md Anderson) picked up ...

Tailbone pain--scar tissue, or something more sinister

Hi all-- Hope everyone is doing well. I am not on as much as I used to be. Trying to stop thinking about cancer every day. I am not sure that it ever goes away. I recently hit 5 years NED. Feels great, but I must admit not a lot different either. I know from many stories, that really I will never be...

Re: Low Grade Tumours, prognoses, quick survey

I think you will find many recurrences that are indifferent to tumor grade. But, yes, I think tumor grade is a prognostic factor. Mine was g4, and that was not good. But, I was/am stage 1 and that has helped I suppose.

FNH (Focal Nodal Hyperplasia) or Adenoma of LIVER

Sort of off topic from colon cancer...My liver lesion has turned out to be one of these two things. I have read that they can be brought on by estrogen replacement which I have been on since surgery 4 1/2 years ago. Although I have been on the gel (which supposedly doesn't go through the liver as mu...

Re: Should I ask for a liver biopsy????

How about your other markers? Liver markers and cea? Are they normal? I would have a PET before a biopsy if it were me.

Re: Mri after effects

Donal, thanks for the reply. I too notice everything. My dr. appreciates that about me. Led to me knowing and her trusting that something was wrong when I had appendicitis recently. I always watch and wait to see if it persists. I let appendicitis go for a week before determining that I might need t...

Re: Post Gallbladder Surgery pain

I have had Gallbladder surgery as well as appendicitis. In both I learned that the subtle things I feel CAN be abnormal. Nothing is too big or too small to share w/ your dr. Please just plan to go and ask for more testing. It isn't normal to feel the nausea that you are though. Many complications ca...

Re: I am scared but I am strong.

So glad you didn't make that call to cancel. Big girl panties will get you through! It's funny one of my closest friends bought me a notepad w/ that saying on it. I kept it on my desk and remembered that ...not just in cancer but life! First, welcome. You will find much love, knowledge, and support ...

Mri after effects

Had my MRI on Friday. I started having some back pain not spinal but almost muscular up and down my ribs on both sides on Saturday. My mri was w/ eovist contrast. I know the black box warning but don't have those symptoms. Anyone have this? I don't think it is just from laying still that long, but m...

Re: MRI advice--my first coming up

So a little update. First, the mri is simple simon! Much better than a pet that takes forever, and a ct that requires nasty contrast. I can handle these! I didn't take anything before and was totally fine. I was so much better because I knew what to expect thanks to you all! So, originally my nurse ...

Re: need opinions - to chemo or not to chemo

I did chemo FOLFOX for stage 1. But, I honestly am not sure I would do it again today. I used to say go for it. I used to say i needed to do it all to make sure I got it all. Now, I would study hard the stats and research that I haven't looked at in a while. Chemo could help and it could damage. You...
