Re: CT scan results

Terrific! Thanks for sharing and hope your new doc works out well. At seven years, still scanning at six months? I like to think about having to consider my protocol at seven years. Love your NEDness! I wasn't NED for a full seven years did have recurrence in the liver in 2012 and had surgery and a...

CT scan results

Just back from seeing the doctor with my scan results Started this journey 7 years ago nearly to the day and have no evidence of disease. The sad part is I had a great doctor and he will not be seeing me again because of retirement on his part, will miss him greatly, you could always tell the result...

Re: Hospital Stay Duration

My first stay was 23 days in hospital.

My colon had ruptured and I was on Plavex for a heart stint and they had to wait 7 days before they could do any surgery for the Plavex effect to wear off. Colon was slow to wake up after. they would not send me home until it was functioning correctly.

Re: Anyone every have the anti-nausea drug Kytril?

I took Kytril during Chemo in pill form. 5 pills at start of chemo and then pills twice a day for the next 2 days. Did not have any problem with them at all.

Re: Hubby has stage 4 colon cancer but is NED. Any others?

I have had stage IV cancer since October of 2007 and still with the living. I had 2 tumours at the start in the liver, after 6 chemo treatments one did not show up in scans so they resected the one and. The second one did come back after nearly 5 years and I had to have it resected again. The last t...

Re: Medical bills

I don't think its right that health should cause a person to go bankrupt anywhere. I live in Canada and the only thing I had to pay for was parking during hospital visits and even that is a tax deduction for patients. Nursing care was provided at my house as often as I needed it. In my case twice we...

I was diagnosed in October 2007 with stage IV colon and stage II kidney cancer.
Four surgeries ( colon tumour removed, two liver resections, partial nephrectomy ) and 24 rounds of Chemo, I'm still here and cancer free for now as far as anyone can tell.

Great News Today

Scan went very well and they can find no evidence of cancer. So I'm back to NED after 8 months of surgery and chemo. So positive thoughts and a new car (picked up today) new SRX model. So overall this has been my best day in years. Now to plan a road trip to celebrate, even the weather was great in ...

Positive Thoughts

I have always believed that positive thoughts can help you deal with a lot of things.

So tomorrow is a really big day, I'm so positive that my scan last week when well, that I went out and bought a new car after the scan.

I get the results of the scan, and then go pick up my new car tomorrow.
