Re: Lung Thingy

In my case, I've had three CTs showing growth in my lung nodules, but they are waiting to biopsy until one reaches 10mm. That does not feel quite right to me, but that seems to be the consensus among my doctors.

Re: Monitoring after FolFox

It is weird. I held up, emotionally so well throughout this whole process, but the closer I get to finishing chemo, the more depressed I feel.......Can anyone relate to that? Totally relate to this!!! For me, as long as there a “plan of attack” I felt like i could weather the storm. It was the “no ...

How to Find a Good Oncologist

When I first got diagnosed (1year+ ago) everything happened so quickly I never “shopped around” for an oncologist... I just took the default and She was okay-ish. Anyway, she moved a couple months ago (not worth following) and I got stuck with her replacement (who is not great), but I’ve been stayin...

Re: Energy

Thanks!!! Yeah, this COVID threw a kink in the plan for child care + preschool ... and now it looks like it’s all closed up in my area again Fall2020. I did a bunch of reading about “Cancer Related Fatigue” and added in more protein (which helped). I might just be one of the ones that struggles with...

Energy

Hey All, My energy is sooooooo looooowwwww. I’m 5-6 months past my last chemo... 8 months past major surgery (cytoreductive & Hipec). I guess I felt like I’d have more pep by now... but I’m not doing well with keeping up with just day to day tasks/chores. I spend the day walking to sit in one sp...

Re: CT found small lung nodules

These are all new nodules - so not seen on the baseline one year ago or progress scans (I think I've had 5??). I am getting a new CT in 6w to see if there was growth -- and we will decide an action plan after that. It has been 4 months since my last chemo treatment & 2.5 months since my last sca...

CT found small lung nodules

So.... my last CT showed 4 new small lung nodules? 4mm, 4mm, 3mm, 2mm--- ug This is AFTER discovering the peritoneum spread (which I hope we wiped out after cytoreductive & hipec). My oncologist said that the probability is that this is evidence of new cancer spread, **BUT** we can't say for sur...

2weeks post Ileostomy Reversal... 4 months post LAR

I had my ileostomy takedown almost 2 weeks ago (had it almost four months). My bowels have been sluggish post surgery. I read and was warned lots about increased/extreme frequency and urgency... but Feel like I’m the opposite. I’m having more stomach cramping & small “unsatisfying” semi-solid BM...

Ileostomy Reversal -- What do I pack/prep/plan?

Hey All, I am 3.5 months past HiPEC/Cytoreductive and heading back down to UC-San Diego for my Ileostomy reversal sometime March 2020. What do I pack? From other posts, I'm planning to pack: -Metamucil (to bulk up / combat diarrhea) -Diaper Ointment (to help burning buns) -Imodium (when diarrhea get...

Just a note to say I had HIPEC and Cytoreducutive on 11/7/19. Almost twins!

Eating plan: Keto OR Vegan OR Well-Balanced??

I just finished my last "scheduled" chemo and plan to do a 5-day detox.......Then I want to jump on to a more solid nutrition/eating plan. Honestly, chemo was way too hard to also ADD IN eating restrictions.... but I'm ready now. I feel like the top two "keep cancer away" theorie...
