Re: My blog... Riding away from cancer

Thanks Belle. Yeah, so many just move on when they are healthy which is understandable.

Re: Should I get a colonoscopy?

I was going to tell you that the hemorhoids are the most likely cause of the blood until I read the statement about the changes in bowel habits. That has me a little concerned. You are real young for colon cancer but its not out of the question. I know quite a few who were diagnosed earlier then you...

Re: Recovery time from and experience with ileostomy reversal?

I guess I'm so used to being an active member. I love the interaction with the public, and the job I do, it's hard work, but very rewarding. I will be given a desk job, for 6months initially, but I would like to think I could return to full policing duties. That's why I chose this profession. Maybe...

Re: Recovery time from and experience with ileostomy reversal?

I had an emergency Colostomy on 1st august this year. I had not been unwell, and my bowels and rectum were healthy. I had a traumatic accident which caused my rectal/vaginal wall to rupture. I also ruptured an artery in the same location. I had lost a lot of blood, and the only way to allow the rec...

Re: stage one ileostomy reversal aftermath

Hi, newbie here. I have the opposite of most of you. I had the reversal in Aug. and have had nothing but diarrhea since. What gives? gaia10 I'm not sure why you think this is the reverse of our experience. I think this is pretty normal. It takes time for things to settle down. Metamucil wafers and ...
