Re: Kelley (kbrown2b) has left us

Thanks CRguy for posting this. Kelley used to be very active here. And yes she had three kids, the youngest sweet Ella Sophia. She was three and is now seven. Kelley was a registered nurse, like me. She worked right through treatment. She was an absolutely amazing mom. She was a positive and beautif...

Re: The hard road after chemo

That period after chemo was horrible for me. My feet felt like bricks and the pain was unbearable! My hands were horrible and I had little control over them. I couldn't wash my face, write, or get dressed. I would fall over and was unsteady on my feet. Things would fall out of my hands. I had such l...

Re: Need help/advice please

When I was first diagnosed, I wanted surgery right away! I was eager to get started. However, a week is not a long time in this fight. The choice is yours, but I would wait the week and hear what MDA has to offer. They usually have a promising, cutting edge plan. If treatment at MDA is an option, I ...

Deported Today!!!!

Hi friends!
Had my port removed today!!! It served its purpose for three years but I'm happy to be rid of it.
I never thought I'd ever get rid of that thing! Tender at the incision site but feeling great!! I hope I never need it again :/
It was a constant reminder of CC. Happy day. :)

I have been nervous as I have not scanned in a year. It has been just over three years since diagnosis and 2.5 ...

Re: PET scan today

I know what you mean about the arthritic feeling. It is starting to get better but my right elbow still aches. It hurts when I bend it to hold a book open.
I haven't figured out which chemo agent caused it.
Good luck on your scan.

Re: Ashlee's Scan Report - Not good

Oh Ashlee, this is heartbreaking news. It's only been four months. I always hate when they give you the bad news but soon after they develop a plan and things look brighter. You have beat this down before and you can do it again!!!!
I believe that!
Thinking of you my friend.

Re: rib mets symptoms

I had a very similar experience last year. I was so worried!!! And I kept pressing on it and then it would hurt and I was even more worried because "it hurt". I was so worried that it was a met. I had all the tests and it turned out to be fine. I still notice a bump there ( over the bottom...
