Re: cancer on peritoneum

Be aggressive. Push very hard for HIPEC , try every HIPEC specialist centre and push push push.

Dont hang around and dont count on chemo for Peri stuff

Sending lots of support on your battle ahead.

Re: We've lost Ben (Pyro70)

Deepest condolences :(

Unfortunately my soldier of a brother is nearing the end of his valiant battle.

Key message is if you have any peri involvement act quickly and aggressively.

Love to all.

Re: 33 years old, mucus, blood and nerves!

Good luck with tests. I hope your symptoms improve.

It is much more likely you have colitis or crohns than cancer so stay positive and healthy

How accurate is foundation 1 / MSI-H testing?

Are there stats on the accuracy of these tests?

How important is the quality if tissue sample?

Could incorrect sampling occur ?

It got me thinking there must be some error and therefore some value in late stagd immunotherapy in MSS patients?

Stivarga - can it be taken in non tablet form?

Hey all,

Just wondering if any experience as to whether Stivarga can be taken by infusion or injection or must it be taken orally?
All the best

Re: Still at the hospital :(

I hope everything works out positively.

From a first hand perspective the symptoms are similar to a sbo.

Sbos can be managed.

Take care.

Re: Emergency HIPEC, possible?

Does he have extensive peri mets?

Venting g-tube and Tpn could provide symptom resolution and perhaps offer some time for chemo if desired.

Good luck in your fight

Re: Regorafenib + Nivolumab - Immunotherapy might work in MSS CRC

If there is 25% success rate from this combo that is huge. It might not sound great on the face of it by Opdivo mono-therapy had less than 5% efficacy in MSS patients. This gives patients a big boost

(REGONIVO) Avastin/ Opdivo Avastin or Stivarga / Pembo Is there any indication that Avastin instead of Stivarga could be more beneificial Obviously it is a roll of the dice but hoping to weight the dice in fav...

Re: Emergency HIPEC, possible?

Looks likely to be diffuse cancer causing blockage but no definitive answer yet. Still mostly blocked with NG tube in now for 5 days, complete bowel rest, TPN and just about managed pain. Scans indeterminate but not resolving conservatively which points to cancer. Patient had some peritoneal involve...

Emergency HIPEC, possible?

In the setting of locally advanced CRC which has spread to a small/medium part of the peritoneum but nowhere else in the body and is causing local small bowel issues, partial blockage. Are there options for HIPEC in this setting considering there are no other metastases. Can emergency HIPECs be arra...

All the best to you and fam I am MSS, that being said I did Keytruda and it failed. I’ve tried all primary and secondary treatments, I’m not a trial typ...
