Regarding "waiting for responses"

Thank you Holly. I didn't know it was psychologically possible to feel berated and assisted at the same time! Thank you for the Doctor's name you were referring to at the Mayo Clinic, I'll keep my medical records in the bathroom and take Flintstones vitamins! By no means do I want to encourage anyon...

Thanks

Missjv Thank you for your response. I am happy for you regarding your success in tumor shrinkage. Yes, proactivity as Holly had mentioned is crucial in managing and beating a disease. With regard to Holistic Healing, it is imperative that it is followed in a manner which doesn't conflict with your c...

Response

Thank you Holly for your information. Yes, all pertinent medical records have been forwarded to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, Stanford, and U.C. Medical Center. At this point I am waiting for responses. If you don't mind my asking, what are the names of the Specialists you are referring to at Mayo Cli...

CT Scan results not good

The CT scan from this week showed a small increase in liver mets and lung. Erbitux and Irenotecan was the treatment for 3 months prior to the scan. Previously Folfox 4 for 1 year-Oxaliplatin, Leucovorin, including Avastin for 6 months during that time. After the scan results, the Onocologist elected...

Hi Liz Congratulations on your positive news! It's nice to breathe a sigh of relief after having to wait for test results. I am also Stage IV and am now on Erbitux and Irenotecan. The regimen started 3 months ago and tomorrow I will have a CT scan for the first time under these drugs. What chemother...

Thinking of you

Hi Mali My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know you will make the best of the time you have left with your mother. As a person who lost her mother of 48 years of age when she was 28 years old to a painful illness, I know that life can only be taken one minute at a time when experiencing such gr...

Chemotherapy regimen

Hi Mali
I am Stage IV which started with mets to the lungs, aside from the abdomen, lymph nodes, a small amount in the spine, liver and colon. To make a long story short, one year into my treatment with 5-FU, Leucovorin, and Avastin (Folfox 4), the lung metastasis cleared.

Avemar

Here is some information pertaining to Avemar.

There has been some supporting data that it does work with some chemotherapy regimens, but hasn't been scientifically proven to work alone in controlling cancer.

t's still not too late everyone

It still isn't too late to contact your state representatives regarding the threat to cutting NCI funding for cancer treatment and research. I will do my best to help anyone who needs more information. Here is some information that Edward has been kind enough to furnish me: The two websites are http...

Neuropathy

Hi Laurie
I was on Folfox 4 for one year and only had neuropathy the first day of each chemo treatment, and it would disappear after that. I definitely attribute the premeds of Calcium and Magnesium to helping with this problem.

Low white blood cell counts

Sharon For the past 4 weeks I have been juicing (kale, spinach, beets, carrots, apples, ginger, cabbage, broccoli and wheatgrass) eliminated sugar, eating more eggs and haven't had problems with white blood cell or platelet counts-possibly strengthening my immune system? This is only MY experience a...

Thanks

Thank you all for your replies. I don't know what I would do without you. If I find more information regarding this topic, I will post. The Proton therapy looked interesting-I posted a link for this subject on the board about a week ago.
