Re: Take me away to that special place - Picture Thread

What a joy to check in on CT this afternoon and see such an explosion of new pics. Amy's lovely family and what look to be German shepards, very nice. I always love to see pics of owls. Thanks for that superb example, LPL. I've even subscribed to a subreddit called r/superbowl. At first glance you ...

Re: What do you think?

It's doing something, right? So that's better than nothing. I know that's super easy for me to say after all the good news I've had. I wish I could give you a hug and we could both tell cancer to go eat a bag of dicks. So instead I'll tell you a joke my 9 year old told me last night. What do you cal...

Re: CT shows my liver met is SMALLER!!

Oncologist was pleased, she called me amazing. Might do a little bit more chemo before resection to shrink it more. CT scheduled for 7/17 and that should help them determine when they want to cut that f'ing thing out. Currently waiting in the lobby to do cycle 5. No CEA results in mychart yet. I've ...

Re: CT shows my liver met is SMALLER!!

That’s awesome news, AmyG! Based just on the longest measurement alone, that’s a 20% reduction which is very nice. However based on area visible on a 2D scan it’s more like a 50% reduction! And because of geometry fun, what you’ve quoted could correspond to up to ~60% reduction in tumour volume! (I...

CT shows my liver met is SMALLER!!

Got the results in mychart:

Went from 4.5 x 3.7 to 3.6 x 2.3!

I have no idea how significant a change that is but I'll take it!

Re: Hair removal - help?

Oh gawd, that sounds like one shitastic evening!

Sorry about your lip. I know with my eyebrows there was never any pain involved! Are you happy with how it turned out though? As for numbing it....orajel? That has lidocaine in it, maybe that would help...or maybe they'd just wipe it off!

Re: Currently in the ER...woo.

They didn't seem to think I needed one.

I think they wanted to blame it on hemorrhoids. Even though they weren't acting up during the colonoscopy. So whatever. I'm not bleeding out, we'll see how it goes from here!

Re: Currently in the ER...woo.

Guess who is going home??

They never found the source of my bleed, I'm still bleeding but my oncologist said to still come for chemo on Monday, she's just withholding Avastin.

So, overall I'd rate this adventure a 2/10, do not reccomend.

Re: Currently in the ER...woo.

Thanks. I really appreciate that and I hate that you know exactly where I'm coming from. Good news is that the kids are on the way, will be here in less than an hour! Saw a doctor, he seems to think that since my colon was so great, it must be coming from my anus. Ergo, my ass is broke yall. N...

Re: Just had my latest colonoscopy

Moviprep!! That the name of the stuff they gave me. I thought it tasted horrendous but it got the job done.

Glad everything was clear for you, I know that's a huge relief.

Re: Currently in the ER...woo.

So I'm an emotional wreck this morning. I was looking last night for something inspirational or comforting for the Miss Molly thread and unintentionally stumbled across a poem from a little boy's point of view. He kept asking his mommy not to go, to stay and play, that he was mommy's boy....totally ...

Re: Currently in the ER...woo.

The capsule was suggested, but I guess it isn't done here? Idk why there's still blood if they found nothing this morning. I'm supposed to call my nurse the next time there's blood in the potty so they have an idea of what I'm losing.

How exciting.
