Re: 1 year clear from stage IV

Rob!! I'm right there with you buddy! Last chemo was 12/23 of last year. Nothing but clear ct scans, scopes and labs for me. They were worried I have something in my chest but it's assumed to be thymic rebound. I was told that if my scans and labs are clear in March I can move to 6 month appointment...

Re: Low key freak out.

So yeah. Nothing. No one ever contacted me. I have a CT on the 30th and see my onc on the 8th of December. Idk if there was a language barrier and I misunderstood that the biopsy was happening immediately, if they were waiting and watching or what. In other news, my oldest daughter got covid, but th...

Re: Weight loss and hair loss

So I was thinking "Oh I wish I had that problem..." as I've put on 30lbs in 2.5 years

But then I read about all of your troubles and decided I'm okay with being chubby. I am so sorry, sounds like you're having a really rough time!

Re: Low key freak out.

Would you belive i still don't have a biopsy scheduled? I have a CT at the end of November, appointment with the oncologist at the beginning of December.

CEA and AFP were both hella low, so I guess that's okay?

Idk.

Re: 3 months left of life

Well that's awful. I have no words of wisdom, just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you. I realize that doesn't help you or you liver. but I do hope you have a real life support system.

How old is your son now?

Re: Blood clots and low oxygen and hospice OH MY

I am so very sorry to read about your husband's passing. If there is anything a random internet stranger can do for you at this time, please holler. We have kids that are similar in age, I do hope all of yall have the support you need.

Re: Low key freak out.

Never had a PET, he's going right to biopsy. In somewhat good news, my CEA is 2.2 and AFP is 3.7, which for our lab, under 9 something is normal. CEA has always been a good indicator for me, idk if AFP is or not. So, that's a step in the right direction. I'm hoping chemo messed with my thymus and I'...

Low key freak out.

Met my new oncologist today. He's okay. He is concerned about tissue in my chest, that I could have a thymoma. It's residual thymic tissue that's been noted since my March CT. So there was nothing there in December, something in March, June and September. I'm waiting on a biopsy appointment. Last ti...

Re: Blood clots and low oxygen and hospice OH MY

I don't know what it's like being in your shoes. I hope to God I never find out. While I'm so very sorry for your husband, at some point his journey will end but yours and your children's will continue. That breaks my heart. I was terrified of leaving my newborn without a mother. Of my younger kids ...
