Re: One Year Recurrence?

Thanks for your reply.

I have read that colon cancer is slow growing and I can't imagine what was missed but I guess anything is possible. It has me concerned for sure. Thank you for your input!

One Year Recurrence?

Hello, One year ago, a cancerous polyp was removed during my colonoscopy. It was cancer and I had a colon resection. I had part of my colon removed and pathology said none of the 15 lymph nodes taken were infected or cancerous. I had clean margins. I was one of the lucky ones. My colon surgeon said ...

Newly Diagnosed, Surgery Next Week

Hello! I am thankful for your thoughts and wish all of you the best of health! I was diagnosed with a cancerous polyp in my sigmoid colon last month. I went for my colonoscopy after having blood in my stool and rectal pressure/pain for about two months. I ignored it a month longer than I should have...

Rectal Pressure

I am having terrible rectal pressure and pain. Not really a feeling of needing to go but more of pressure and fullness. My cancerous polyp was taken out so there shouldn't be anything there causing this. I am baffled. I am waiting on my surgeon appointment this coming Wednesday so no treatment for t...

Re: New Member

Thanks Jannine. That is encouraging. I meet with my surgeon tomorrow so hopefully I will be better informed. Did you have a bag after your surgery? I have had a doctor tell me that sometimes they do that for healing purposes?

Re: New Member

Thanks Margie for sharing your experience. It does sound similar. A gastroenterologist did my colonoscopy and will do my tattooing. He didn't say anything about a CT or PET scan so I will definitely ask the surgeon when I meet with him. I was wondering how long I will stay in the hospital. 3 days do...

Hello, I have read your stories and they are inspiring. I am coming for clarity I guess. I found on this past Thursday that the "routine" colonoscopy that I had last Monday was not so routine. The doctor told my husband that he removed a 14mm polp in the sigmoid colon and it did not appear...
