Re: 5-FU cumulative side effects?

Dear Kobe, Although it was ten years ago for me I do recall the 3rd or 4th treatment truly kicking in with full blown side effects. My physician said it was the leucovorin with the most side effects and to be honest it didn't get any easier until the last treatment was over. The tingling and fatigue...

Re: Relationships

Dear Andrea1976,
I tested negative for every colon cancer and breast cancer gene. Oncologist said it was just a case of bad luck. On the bright side, my daughters are aware they need to have a colonoscopy and mammography to prevent a cancer diagnosis. I worry about them always.

Re: Relationships

You need to take care of yourself and your children. Do what is best for you in your situation! When I was diagnosed in 2007, all the signs were there but I set them aside until I completed chemotherapy. He used my illness to get sympathy, told everyone I was dying and he needed to find a new mom fo...

Re: Anybody completely cured for many years?

Diagnosed July 2007, stage 3 colon cancer. In September 2015 my oncologist finally said I am in clinical remission after 8 years. In 2010 I was diagnosed with stage 1 lobular breast cancer which has nothing to do with my primary colon cancer.
Positive thoughts and best wishes to all!
