Re: Clinical Trial - PROGRESS REPORT

Speaking for a past caregiver, it is wonderful to hear that you are having success. For those that knew Brady, he was willing to try anything and report on the results in hopes that it helped someone. Best of luck with the trial and I do hope you become a responder. For you old timers that are still...

Re: Larry and brain mets, round two

Anji, Having gone through the brain tumors with Brady, I know what you are feeling. It is frustrating to our loved ones as they do have no control over what is happening to them. As many remember Brady, was a great communicator, when he lost his abilty to speak and write, I know that this is when he...

Thank you so much. I'd just love to know how you coped. How you filled the void that used to be your friend. He has now become a favorite for me. I believe he said his wife was 8 months pregnant when he was diagnosed, although I cannot seem to find how old his child/children are.

Re: Hospice has come up today

My heart goes out to you. Please do talk to Zane and let him make the decision on what is best for him. For Brady, we did get a very inexperienced nurse at first. Because Brady's had metastasized to his brain he was quite combative and very paranoid. She did not have a clue how to handle him and spe...

Re: "Letting Go", by Atul Gawande

Having gone through this experience with Brady, I am so greatful we had an onc that talked with us about options. As many of you know Brady did try many cutting edge treatments which did help prolong his life. He and I talked A LOT about quality of life versus quantity of life. When the brain tumor ...

Cindy, I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you and shares your pain. You will keep moving forward, believe me. Use your friends, particularly now so you do not have to relive his passing over and over. Get a friend to make calls for you and to answer calls. You are going to want to talk but you will...

Re: Home

If you are following your heart you cannot do anything better. I know what it is like to have them tell you we didn't think he would make it through the week. I heard that for almost 6 weeks. Do have the conversation with the nurse on what to look for as he is getting very close to passing. There ar...

Cindy, Please know that what you are feeling and all the concerns you have are suppose to be there. When I heard the words from Brady's doctor that we had days are weeks it was the hardest thing to hear. You go through this journey knowing that an end will be there but always hoping for that miracle...
