Anyone here with Stage 2 rectal cancer that had pre and post surgery chemo and still had their cancer return after 1 year of surgery?

Re: Talk me down..CT results...

Try to calm down and not worry much. Not all enlarged lymph nodes are cancer. My husband had a 9 mm lymph node in his abdominal area near his main aorta popping out on all his post surgery scans which scared us for a long time but was later determined to be granulation from his LAR. You recently had...

Re: Distant Lymph nodes

Yes. My husband has similar situation. A distant lymph node (at the level of aortic bifurcation) enlargement was seen on his post surgery CT and MRI in October of 2018. Was discussed at the tumor board and everyone agreed it was inflammation from surgery. PET scan was done in February of this year a...

Re: Pathological downstaging

My husband's tumor was also downgraded from T3 to T2 with the only difference that he didn't have any lymph involvements prior to chemoradiation. On his post surgery pathology report it was indicated T2NOM0, however the final stage was still indicated as stage 2. Considering my husband's young age a...

Re: I’m Freaking Out

Are you feeling any better about it now? A little! It's nice to have others confirm that CRC survivors have bloating problems, and he's feeling a lot better now. He's still taking a colace once a day, so if over the weekend when he stops taking it if he still doesn't get bloated I'll feel a lot bet...

Re: I’m Freaking Out

I so understand you and feel what you feel. Its enough for my hubby to make a sigh or if he goes to bathroom more than he normally does or he complains of bloating i become a total freak. All his doctors' offices know how i am already and the first thing they tell me when i call is please don't pani...

My husband gets a pump too. His is on FOLFOX regimen Every two weeks. He gets his chemo (Leucovorin and 5FU infusion on Monday at the oncolosgist's office for about 4 hours. Then they connect him to the pump to bring home through which he receives his Oxaliplatin infusion directly into his port. Th...

Re: How did you first discover or got diagnosed with colorectal cancer ?

As strange as it may sound my husband's only symptoms were night sweats and fever for 6-7 months before his diagnoses. We have been to different emergency rooms to different specialists ( pulmonologist, endocrinologist, urologist), they couldn't find anything wrong but, just in case they were treati...
