I was tested when they found my cancer and I was NEG to HPV... They also tested me for all sexually transmitted diseases and I was NEG... so I never took it any further...

My oncologist told me that I would have to go onto a colostomy bag if I had my original tumor removed... They also told me that if I had the tumor that SPREAD removed I could end up paralyzed because area where the tumor is located is EXTREMELY close to my sciatica nerve... I DO NOT THINK that it is...

I had my first PET scan before I started treatments. They used the scan as part of the mapping along with a series of 3 CT scans... I had my first radiation and chemo treatments within 4-5 hours after the PET... I was dxed on Aug 10, 2007 and have had 3 PET scans since my first one...
This is a major victory... not a small victory... anytime we can save someone's life or save them from dealing with cancer... that is something to celebrate!!
My husband and I have a "sort of joke"... everytime I forget something we say "chemo brain".... seriously, before I had chemo (5FU and Mitomycin) I remembered everything.. my husband used to joke that my brain was his traveling rolodex... I remembered everyone's telephone numbers...

My colo-rectal surgeon is a female... but her partner is OMG hot... when he came into my hospital room when my DR was off and he was on call... I almost fell out of my bed... and the nurses were all making excuses to come in and check on me for some reason or another... AHAHAHAH!!!
