Re: What Helped You Make It Through Folfox Cycles 6-8

Tell them to crank up the pre meds for any nausea, don’t resort only to zofran. As the other poster mentioned if the non cold type of neuropathy is sticking around inform them immediately.

Re: What To Expect With Surgery

Surgery was, for me, a breeze. Only my experience... Pain - Assuming, with good reason, you will have LAR Surgery with a minimally invasive approach the pain will also be minimal. My surgeon was utilizing a quick recovery approach which included absolutely no narcotics and honestly they werent neede...

Raw Stomach - Quick Thread

Hi, Currently on the XELOX protocol, dealing with Oxaliplatin side effects are tough but expected. What I can't seem to get a handle on is the feeling of a "raw stomach". I am not nauseous as I want to and can eat and drink what I want. I normally take the XELODA as prescribed about 20-30 ...

Re: Extremely Worried Common Iliac Lymph Node

Echoing another in this thread I have an extremely similar situation, last MRI showed a lymph node at 5MM near the common iliac right bifurcation. Looking forward to any replies from the community on this.

Re: DH wondering how others dealt with pain and how long it lasts?

Miralax and Sennakot to keep things moving was the best thing for me prior to chemo/radiation, it made going more often and definitely on the very loose side. That kept the pain of being blocked or spending too much time in pain at bay. Assuming hes having the gut type pain a heating pad also helped...

Re: PET Scan results?

Not exactly the same route as you but my original ct scan showed a liver lesion of “low density” that I was scheduled for a follow up mri on. The results were showed characteristics of a simple cyst luckily, it’s not as good as doing a biopsy of course but I trust the doctors. Scanxiety is stupid re...

Radiation - In Progress

Hello! Firstly, thanks to everyone on this board for their insights and stories. They have been tremendous in understanding different aspects of the process. Late last year I had blood in my stool every now and then but attributed it to the heavy weightlifting I was just starting to get into. In Jun...
