Re: Way OT: Medical Power of Attorney or Guardianship

There are too many victims of the probate guardianship. Avoid involving the probate court!!. Lawyers, Judges, professional conservators are making out like bandits as your loved one is robbed of their most basic civil rights, their properties, and their lives. The problem is rampant through out the ...

My prayers are with you and her wonderful family. She was a very wonderful person and she never allowed cancer to stop her from the joys of life, including giving to her family or friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Re: Post Resection Update on Nick

Sally, You and Nick have been and will remain in my prayers. I am glad Nick has time to relax and to heal. He's a lucky fellow to have you to care for him; and now to get to recoupe in France; that's totally awesome. I have always wanted to move to France. Wishing you a joyful and healing season tha...

Re: CRguy in da house ... outta da big house !

Happy Birthday, and wishing you many more. Rest up, sit a while in the healing sunshine, and get ready to smell the roses. Last year, after my husband's April 22nd lung wedge surgery, he started making plans for his trot lines, about a week later, he caught a 60 pounder. Thank God he had a friend wi...

Re: high level of anxiety this weekend

I agree with CRguy, get another opinion. Are you being treated at a major cancer center where there are the most experienced surgeons and the highest tech. equipment? You have too many reasons to fight and to seek the very best available treatments. We found that what some doctors find too risky, is...

Re: Cost of COBRA

So much for a compassionate government. I don't think my husband or anyone volunteered to get cancer, so how do they consider it voluntarily being removed from your job?

Re: Cost of COBRA

Sorry, I meant to say it appears that you don't qualify for the 65% subsidy unless you are involuntarily terminated and that the reason can't include gross misconduct. Kelly, I hope the gov. will extend the subsidy again and that the reform will allow you to get affordable coverage. Are you on SSDI?...

Re: Obama-Care is "in the House !"

One major benefit Obama's plan has to cancer patients is that there is no life time maximums. If my husband's company had stayed with Aetna, he would have been maxed out this year, as they had a one million dollar max. I see major benefits from the reform. I'm just sorry that they are too late for t...
