Re: Unsure if actual symptoms or internet is making me anxious

Google is a great mortician - terrible doctor.

Erins is right - get to your GP and at least get them to run a CBC to check for anemia. I was able to get that test done just by messaging him over the direct portal. Test took 2-3 days to get back. That should/could start you down the path.

Re: Still worried after finding Hemorrhoids

Just some encouragement - I had my scope yesterday and it was negative for the bad stuff. I've had good blood work, CT w/ IV contract and an abdominal ultrasound - all of which previously were showing good. I also had diagnosed hemorrhoids and a fissure - keep your head up, like many others have sai...

Re: Worried about colonoscopy next week!

Colonoscopy was this morning. Completely clean - no polyps, tumors etc.

They did take a sample of my lining because I've had some loose stools so they just want to make sure I'm absorbing all the food that I eat. Thank you again for your support and thoughts. All the best to you on your journeys.

Re: Did anyone get so nervous before a colonoscopy they constipated themselves?

Thanks! Outside of the constipation and thinner stools today, I’ve been almost a symptomatic the past few weeks.

I’ve had a CT with IV contrast, abdominal ultrasound and loads of blood work which have all come back golden - so I don’t know that I have a ton of reason to be worried at 34.

Did anyone get so nervous before a colonoscopy they constipated themselves?

Thread topic pretty much sums it up.

I’ve got the full scope tomorrow and I’m literally scared crapless. I’ve not been constipated this entire time...

Re: Worried about colonoscopy next week!

Thanks CAGirl! Yeah, honestly, really the only thing out of the ordinary right now is the fact that I pass a little blood occasionally, but I have a fissure too :). How much faith would anyone put in the fact that between the Abdominal Ultrasound, CT w/ IV Contrast and every conceivable blood test -...

Re: Question about bleeding after BM

yeah itchiness - I guess it's just to confirm that it in fact is caused by a hemorrhoid/fissure and not passed through my GI tract...

Question about bleeding after BM

Is it normal after a BM which shows no blood or streaking on the stool, or TP to go back to the bathroom and check again, but when pressing TP there is a little pink/light red? Is that more consistent w/ a hemorrhoid or fissure?

Re: Still worried after finding Hemorrhoids

I've had hemorrhoids for the past 2-3 months, and occasionally see the blood on my stool. I can feel the hemorrhoids and can even induce a bit of bleeding. I have my scope next week, and have been assured by several people that I have nothing to worry about. I definitely understand the worry - but i...

Worried about colonoscopy next week!

Hey there - 34 yr old male So...roughly about 6 months ago I noticed that I had some bouts of diarrhea, and abdominal pain for which I went to my PCP for. Unrelated to the other symptoms, I developed an abscess on my neck for which my PCP gave me clyndamycin for 2 weeks for. During the next two week...
