Re: PVE response

No issues at all now. I started stretching about 6 weeks out and then worked up to light core strengthening. It was tough but doable. I still do core strengthening 2 to 3 times per week. When you get home, it’s a little different with pain. Mostly pain at incision location that could be tough at times. Keep a pillow hand...

Re: 39 degree C temp.....(102 F) just 2 days after sigmoidoscopy....

Fact is this is his life and the sooner he accepts it, the better off he is going to be. Cancer is unfair, stubborn and relentless. ...

Re: Dr doesn't seem to approach colon removal

I was in similar condition. I was however determined to be operable. They started me with chemo to see if the cancer would respond. I took 4 rounds of chemo-had scans- did a 5th before surgery. They never said this but I think they wanted to see if the cancer would respond. If it had not I expect th...

Re: radiation therapy & bleeding

I had some rectal bleeding when pooping. Talk with your radiooncologist. Mine said that the rad will cause irritation and blood could occur when pooping. He did not think it was a big deal unless significant blood loss occurs when not pooping. His definition of significant was-was it enough to worry...

Did not discuss any other treatment options. Will be discussing with tumor board on plan but expects chemo indefinitely. Chemo ...
