Re: New here

I had a really hard time swallowing water, too. You can get hydration in other ways.. juicy fruits and juices usually tasted good, tea, chocolate milk. I often took my xeloda pills with pineapple juice. Whatever works and what tastes good. In addition to all the anti-nausea meds, I found mints and g...

Re: New here

Hi! Our diagnoses and treatments sound similar. I had six rounds of capeox and have neuropathy in my feet and just in the tips of my fingers. Fingers don't bother me at all but the feet neuropathy is a little bothersome. I can hike and run and function just fine, but my feet are sensitive. Sheepskin...

Re: How Often Post Recovery Colonoscopy? Aspirin?

Hi! I'm almost 7 years post op. I had a clean colonoscopy at 1 year and then again 3 years after that and then the doc said come back in 5 years. I take 81 mg of aspirin daily. I'll be interested in knowing what other folks are doing.

Re: 29F. Just got a colonoscopy. They found something and I’m scared.

My doctor suggested bringing my own comfy clothes. Loose fitting jammies/sweats...just to feel more normal than wearing a hospital gown. Slippers. You'll be walking around pretty soon after your surgery to get things moving. A kindle or e-reader was really useful for me. I couldn't sleep sometimes a...

Re: Apprehensive about round three tomorrow

I'm thinking of you today and hope you are feeling well. My best days were the two or three after infusion.. The steroids gave me an appetite! The end is in sight....you got this!

Re: collagen

I just put some in my turmeric tea.. It disolved well with a bit of stirring and I can't taste it at all. We'll have to check in after 2-3 months and compare notes. My fingers are crossed.

Re: collagen

Funny you should mention collagen. My hair has been shedding way more than usual and my girlfriend suggested collagen just last week... She has been taking it for a few months and she swears it has made a difference in her hair. I got a collagen peptide powder that dissolves in a hot beverage and is...

Re: Not tolerating Xeloda. Are there any options?

If you buy organic bread, cereal and pasta, those aren't fortified with folic acid. I didn't know any of that when I was on Capox and I was so very, very sick like you. I am so sorry you are going through this. If you can get some cannabis in any form it might help. Ativan helps nausea and sleeping ...

Re: Update - Stage 3b, mid-CAPOX

I am a 3b too and did six rounds of capox. Your husband is halfway...he will be done before you know it and this will be in the review mirror. So glad he is doing well...yay for medical marijuana. I think I would have fared better if I had some edibles! Very best of luck with IVF in September.

Re: Personal question ... how do YOU do it?

Hi, Monimom...my husband and I are 62 and 61, respectively, and are retired. We purchase insurance through the ACA. I don't know what your annual income is but for the two of us, if we can maintain our annual income under something like 67,000 we get our insurance subsidized. Currently we pay $0 for...

Re: Please help, input needed

I am so sorry you are on the middle of this, Ulendon.. it's really hard but you will get through it. After my doctor added Emend to my infusion I felt relatively good for about three days. I ate as much as I could on those days to get my strength up. Xeloda made me extremely ill though..unable to ea...
