Re: Take me away to that special place - Picture Thread

My father passed 21 years ago on June 10th. His service was on the 13th. My mother clipped some blossoms from the peony in their garden to put in his casket. 4 months later she moved so that she was 5 minutes away from me instead of 90. The peony came with her and was planted in my front garden. Eve...

http://i66.tinypic.com/2dqkr35.jpg This is Miss Kitty, also known as Miss Stinky, and as Crazy Cat. She came from the Humane Society. They named her Anastasia. We call her that sometimes, but only when she is acting regal. Youngest mobster wanted a cat for his 11th birthday, saw her at the shelter ...

Re: Our Miss Molly/Karen going into hospice

Sometimes when I read someone's posts here I try to picture what they look like. After reading so many of Miss Molly's I decided that she must be a modern version of Audrey Hepburn. Gracious and strong and proud. But without the long gloves.... My thoughts are with you. Your journey in this life has...

Re: My CRC with liver mets journey

The thing with frozen pizza is that you can add your own toppings to them before they go in the oven.
I add sliced leftover chicken breast or other meats, peppers, tomato, mushrooms, cheese to the frozen ones. They're so much better and cheaper and tastier than take-out pizza......

Take me away to that special place - Picture Thread

With the forum's permission I would like to start a new thread where members can post images and/or share stories of their special place, special friend, special event or activity that help us forget, however briefly, the affects of CRC on our and our families lives. I know one exists already, and u...

Re: Good news (and diarrhea) from scan

As benben said I think it depends on the contrast you are given. I don't ask the names of what they are giving me, but only one time I was given the thick chalky contrast which gave me the runs as soon as the scan was over. I felt obligated to apologize to the staff because I used up all the TP in t...

Re: Neuropathy improvement: individual experience

Hi Janine, I have posted about my neuropathy issues before but to summarize my feet are the worst. In December 2018 I stopped driving my car because I couldn't feel the clutch pedal while driving. It was devastating. the pulsing sensations in my legs and the numbness in my feet have recently been le...

Re: New blog post by Leighann Sturgin

That was very difficult to read. I hope there is a solution. One thing that struck me in the post was the comment: Cancer is a real downer. Cancer is no fun. I hate the attention in brings. That sums up exactly how I've felt over the past 18 months but was never able to articulate, until now. Thank ...

New Cancer Care Ontario maintenance protocol is, assuming there is no evidence to suggest that I'm not NED, an ultrasound and chest X-ray, plus CEA test at 6 months and then CT and CEA at 12 month for the next 3 years. So on March 11th was my 6 month follow up after ending chemo. The ultrasound was ...
