Re: My CRC with liver mets journey

The thing with frozen pizza is that you can add your own toppings to them before they go in the oven.
I add sliced leftover chicken breast or other meats, peppers, tomato, mushrooms, cheese to the frozen ones. They're so much better and cheaper and tastier than take-out pizza......

Take me away to that special place - Picture Thread

With the forum's permission I would like to start a new thread where members can post images and/or share stories of their special place, special friend, special event or activity that help us forget, however briefly, the affects of CRC on our and our families lives. I know one exists already, and u...

Re: Good news (and diarrhea) from scan

As benben said I think it depends on the contrast you are given. I don't ask the names of what they are giving me, but only one time I was given the thick chalky contrast which gave me the runs as soon as the scan was over. I felt obligated to apologize to the staff because I used up all the TP in t...

Re: What happened to thread for caretakers and loved ones?

I don't know what BB would want but I do know that for me posting in a thread created to honour him where someone thought that discussing about how they were defending someone accused of sexual assault was appropriate content for the thread and including a grossly inappropriate (now deleted) link (a...

Re: Neuropathy improvement: individual experience

Hi Janine, I have posted about my neuropathy issues before but to summarize my feet are the worst. In December 2018 I stopped driving my car because I couldn't feel the clutch pedal while driving. It was devastating. the pulsing sensations in my legs and the numbness in my feet have recently been le...

Re: No more personal updates from me

Hi everyone, If anyone is interested in following our ongoing saga, you will have to "friend" me on facebook because I am no longer sharing personal information on this forum or on the Colontown facebook groups. The gang/cult/mob has won and effectively silenced me through their censorshi...

Re: New blog post by Leighann Sturgin

That was very difficult to read. I hope there is a solution. One thing that struck me in the post was the comment: Cancer is a real downer. Cancer is no fun. I hate the attention in brings. That sums up exactly how I've felt over the past 18 months but was never able to articulate, until now. Thank ...

New Cancer Care Ontario maintenance protocol is, assuming there is no evidence to suggest that I'm not NED, an ultrasound and chest X-ray, plus CEA test at 6 months and then CT and CEA at 12 month for the next 3 years. So on March 11th was my 6 month follow up after ending chemo. The ultrasound was ...

Re: CEA Levels

stu,
Two months wait for results is torture. You and Mum are to be congratulated for you stoicism in dealing with this regularly.
My tests and bloodwork are scheduled for next Monday, I will get the results 8 days later. That's long enough.

Cheers, and good results to Mum and Rikimaroo!

Re: First colonoscopy so what do I ask and expect

The doctor’s office called and actually I am only having a consult on Saturday with the Gastrointrologist. Based on that appointment he will advise me what is next the nurse explained. And if I preferred not to be sedated I could stay awake. I prefer to stay awake. Any advice from those that know w...
