Re: Worried Wife-Please Help Me

Good Afternoon, I wanted to give you all an update. My husband had his colonoscopy and endoscopy today and he has internal hemmroids and an inflamed hiatal hernia, which may be the causation to his iron deficiency anemia. He doesn’t have any polyps or tumors in his stomach or colon. His doctor wants...

Re: Worried Wife-Please Help Me

Thank you to all of you who’ve been super helpful. So looking at his most recent bloodwork, his hemoglobin went from 10.9 to 10.8 but his hematocrit went up from 35.7 to 36. However, his ferritin level is a low 8. Also, he had elevated liver enzymes that have since went down over the past month. His...

Re: Worried Wife-Please Help Me

Mine was at 7 when I found out I had anemia in November 2016. That was my only symptom, and when I was diagnosed with...

Re: Worried Wife-Please Help Me

My question is, can iron deficiency anemia and microscopic blood be the only two symptoms one can have prior to being diagnosed with colon cancer? Tricia HI and welcome, sorry for the reason you are here. It can be, butt it can also be caused by many other things. Cancer is just ONE possibility. Pr...

Re: Worried Wife-Please Help Me

Tricia, My husband didn't figure out that he had anemia until his hemoglobin was a life-threatening 6. It took him being in congestive heart failure and unable to breathe to seek medical attention. We found out that the anemia was due to a tumor's perforation of his large intestinal lining. He had ...
