Re: Insoluble : Soluble Fiber Ratio

Just bumping up here for you. Thanks for the bump. It's hard to find the insoluble to soluble ratio for many foods even with research. I put together this spreadsheet with some common names/brands as a reference. The Soluble (+) column identifies foods that are higher in soluble fiber. Here it is: ...

Yes. The salves I used have both THC and CBD in them so you have to get them from a dispensary.

Thx...I joined that LARS Facebook group a couple of days ago. Very helpful.

Re: Supplements to help/resolve LARS clustering

You are very new to this process and it will take awhile for your body to adjust. I don't think supplements are the holy grail at this point. MD Anderson has website with info on how to manage your diet post LAR, bowel surgery. Keeping a food journal can be helpful as well as Immodium (if approved)...

Re: oxaliplatin side effects - 9 years after treatment

You may want to try a cannabis-infused salve. I used one on my hands and feet during my CAPOX & FOLFOX treatments and my neuropathy was manageable during treatment and hasn't flared up since.

Insoluble : Soluble Fiber Ratio

I started following this Fiber intake plan today in hopes that it will start to relieve my clustering: http://www.lowrectalcancer.com/Bm%203.pdf This plan focuses on incrementally adding soluble fiber into your diet, but it doesn't address insoluble fiber. Does anyone know what a good ratio of insol...

Supplements to help/resolve LARS clustering

I'm currently taking the following probiotic in hopes of resolving/alleviating my clustering issue: Jarrow - Saccharomyces Boulardii + MOS: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C76HMIS/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?th=1 - Can anyone recommend a better probiotic for clustering? - Are there any other supplements you w...

Re: Output Data Analysis for Clustering/Fragmentation

Your sheet definitely sounds like it has some elements that mine does not have. If you can find the time, would you mind uploading your old spreadsheet to Google and sharing it. It should convert pretty well to Google format. I'm going through all of my paperwork right now to see if I can piece toge...

Re: Output Data Analysis for Clustering/Fragmentation

Thanks. I'm no spreadsheet/data expert. If anyone has any improvements or new ideas I'd love to incorporate them into mine as well. Regarding the back history for my signature. I'm going to piece that together. I wasn't very proactive in the earlier phases of my treatment. I didn't learn until later...

Output Data Analysis for Clustering/Fragmentation

Hello, I'm new to the group and fresh out of my reversal surgery (11/27/17). The only LARS symptom I'm having so far is clustering/fragmentation. I started an Input/Output Data Diary that would enable me to: - track any progress (I hope) - forecast my day - plan activities (tennis, workouts, sexo, e...

Re: Low Anterior Resection Syndrome: Do you have it?

Thanks for the reply. So it sounds like you would have passed the test, but your one symptom, clustering, never went away, correct? That's a bummer. Based on what I've read I'm going to give it 6 months. If I don't see any natural improvement I will start looking into solutions (Biofeedback, Pelvic ...

Re: Low Anterior Resection Syndrome: Do you have it?

I just took this test. My results indicate No LARS . Is that a good indicator that the current symptoms I'm experiencing are only temporary? My reversal surgery was just completed on 11/27/17 so I'm fresh in recovery from the surgery. Here are my results: 00 = No Flatus 00 = No leakage 04 = Bowels o...
