Re: Can tumors bleed big amounts at a time?

I've read some statistics and here's what I concluded : -the chance of getting bowel cancer in your lifetime is low -EVEN if I was supposed to get bowel cancer in my lifetime, 99% cases are in people 40 years old or older -EVEN if I was in that 1 percent who gets cancer below the age of 40, colonosc...

Re: Can tumors bleed big amounts at a time?

I know that other diseases can cause bleeding but I'm convinced that I have cancer now. I truly believe that the scope 7 months ago missed the cancer somehow. Since the bleeding, I have diarrhea and didn't have a normal stool yet. No more blood though. Going to my doc on Wednesday but I can't sleep ...

Re: Can tumors bleed big amounts at a time?

How big was your tumor though? I had a colonoscopy because 2 months prior to it, I bled pretty significantly, and the doctors didn't feel anything during PR examination. The colonoscopy came out fine besides the polyp, but still nobody knows what caused the bleeding. My guess is that it was an inter...

Can tumors bleed big amounts at a time?

I was just wondering--does anyone know what's the exact mechanism of the rectal bleeding that would indicate CRC? I've read somewhere, that a lot of blood coming out of rectum could be indicative of hemorrhoids as well as CRC. I would agree that when hemorrhoids get filled with blood and then they r...

Re: Rectal bleeding 7 months after a clear colonoscopy

Thanks. From what I've read, my symptoms resemble a burst internal hemmorhoid, however I just can't seem to relax about it. My age(22), a clear colonoscopy not so long ago and absence of other symptoms rather exclude cancer. I mean, when I'm looking at the statistics, it's really extremely rare to g...

Rectal bleeding 7 months after a clear colonoscopy

22 m here. Last December, while having a bowel movement, blood poured out of my anus and stained the bowl, also had a lot of blood on the toilet paper. Went to the doc, had a per rectum which didn't find anything, waited for a colonoscopy and had it done in February 2018. It came out clear besides o...

Re: I'm extremely worried and alone, any advice is appreciated..

Doesn't sound like colon cancer symptoms. You also mention stress - maybe you're suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome? You basically have two choices now - either you save up for colonoscopy and ease your mind, or you don't, and it's up to you if you can get over it. In my opinion you should pres...

Re: 22 years old and scared to death

I'd like to thank you all for being such a great support system, and I honestly and wholeheartedly wish every single one of you all the best in your lives. I hope that if someone with similar symptoms like me finds this thread, he'll go and do the colonoscopy, because polyps at 22 aren't really norm...

Re: 22 years old and scared to death

I got my results! There were no hemorrhoids, but they found one 4-5mm polyp, which has been sent to be examined. Otherwise the colon is clean. I'm just wondering, what if the polyp turns out to be cancerous or precancerous? Will I be in trouble later?

Re: 22 years old and scared to death

So here we are, I'll be getting the scope any time soon. Got my catheter in already. I'm trying to think positively but the stress is killing me! I'll update after the scope.

Re: 22 years old and scared to death

Another update. The prep is awful! Tastes horrible, reminds me of swimming pool water. There's some good news I think, doctor came, asked some questions why I'm here etc, and then wanted to see my anus, he took a look and said that there's an obvious hemorrhoid and it probably just burst back then. ...

Re: 22 years old and scared to death

I'm going to keep a small diary here, just to kind of vent and get stuff off my chest. So here we are, at the moment I'm on a train making my way to the hospital. I feel anxious but kinda relieved that the wait is finally over. Hopefully the prep won't be as bad. Waiting for Monday patiently. Edit 1...

Re: 22 years old and scared to death

Fingers crossed for your mom then! Do you know if your mom or/and the friend felt any pain when it ruptured? Most sources say that when hemmorroids burst, there's pain involved, but I had none :/

Re: 22 years old and scared to death

Thank you Pemba, you're a great person! I've got a question for you though and I want you to answer honestly. Do you say all those things just to make me feel better or do you really believe them? Like, you said that from the pic it looks like a burst hemorrhoid, but I did my research and I never sa...
