Re: New Immunotherapy Drugs?

Leronlimab is a trial for locally advanced or metastatic cancer. Your tumor must be CCR5 positive. With this trial you can continue whatever treatment you are currently doing, side effects are little to none. And it's a simple injection.

Re: So the news was not good....

SSDI has a compassionate process for stage 4 cancer patients. It only takes a few months. I would suggest starting immediately, it's also surprisingly easy they were very helpful. After qualifying for SSDI he will then become eligible for medicare.

Re: Personal question ... how do YOU do it?

Thank you, I'm not sure the process for Medicare. At the time I had medical insurance so I didn't even look into it. But I did eventually get Medicare. Earlier this year I received my Medicare card in the mail, apparently it was an automatic process, I never applied for it. And that would put it nea...

Re: Hi again , hoping for opinions

In regards to your insurance question social security disability might be an option for you. They have an accelerated approval process for stage 4 cancer patients. After receiving disability he would then qualify for Medicare. As for the second opinion I would say definitely go for it. At least star...

Update: Leronlimab was granted a phase 2 basket trial involving 22 solid cancer tumors. Colon cancer is included. The first patient was injected today, I believe it was breast cancer. So far they have been seeing very good results with the metastatic breast cancer trial, and a big plus is side effec...

Re: Life insurance

Are you referring to selling your policy, or filing a claim with the insurance company? My life insurance policy has a terminal illness rider and also a critical illness rider. I was able to file for the critical rider and draw out a portion. There are no taxes due on life insurance payouts. I don't...

Re: Suggestions for treatment facility for liver and lung mets

I can tell you about my experience with my first appointments. The oncologist told me surgery wouldn't be possible but my liver surgeon told me he saw potential, his exact words were he would swing for the fences for me. He was very adamant in telling me that I'd be surprised at how many people coul...

Re: Reoccurance Questions/Help

Mayo clinic in Phoenix has proton beam therapy. I don't even know if that would be an option for you but might be worth a call. They have very convenient accomodations for out of town patients. There's even a large Marriott residents inn on their campus. Also I've heard alot of good things about Hun...

Re: Bile duct leak

I have a bile duct leaking right now, been leaking for about a year and half now. With mine it's pretty much contained in a cavity where the right side of my liver was. I didn't have drains after my liver surgery but there was a growing fluid collection that showed on scans every 3 months. It seemed...

Re: Pill thru j tube

Most likely it's beyond the pharmacy to make that call. Have you discussed it with the doctors? They might ok with it or feel it's safe enough to try.
