Thank you all for your supportive words. Just found out I failed FOLFIRI+Avastin. Now on to FOLFOX+Panitumumab. Basically am screwed. Cant deal with this. This f*#ing disease
I want to be hopeful. Very much so. It is what we are supposed to do. At the same time, I know based on what doctors tell me and what I can figure out online, is that I don't have a lot of time left (maybe a year). How the f#@k are you supposed to live like this?!?! I want to be hopeful, but that is...
Had been NED for over 19 months after HIPEC and several rounds of FOLFIRI, then several sweet months of no chemo. Unfortunately, a diagnostic laparoscopy just confirmed its back and all over the peritoneal cavity. There is too much for surgery, so now it's back to systemic therapy for me to buy a li...
Update here - it’s been a while. Did 9 rounds FOLFOXIRI between 12/17 and my HIPEC last May. Surgeon thinks they got it all. Yay! Unfortunately, pathology was bad, with several lymph nodes cancerous. Recovery from surgery was relatively easy - 8 nights in hospital, and back at work a week after that...
Yeah it sucks. Nothing I can say willl change that. I am in a similar situation - 41 with stg IV. In my opinion, the worst is the first few months. Then you learn to deal. One day at a time.
Just an update here. I don't check in too often anymore - trying to live my life. I finished 9 rounds of chemo (switched to FOLFOXIRI), and I have HIPEC in two weeks. Excited to get on with it! Also terrified that there will be some non-resectable disease, but we find out soon!

I dont know anything about lung nodules, but it is worth talking to your doctor about. Try to relax and take it one step at a time. Freaking out will not help (which I have le...
Easy there. One step at a time. Deep breaths. First off, I dont know. I’m not a doctor. I wouldn’t lose a ton of sleep over what could be nothing. But you should follow up with your doctor and be an advocate for yourself to get some tests done and a colonoscopy is easy. There are many steps between ...
Hi everybody - just found out I have several tiny peritoneal mets (SRC), so they didnt do my planned resection. Am scared out of my mind. Any advice on best treatment options/centers from here? Plan is to start my on regular chemo in a couple of weeks.
Had surgery two days ago, planned to do resection. Unfortnately, they found several seeds/mets in peritoneum, so they sewed me up and I start chemo soon. So I am stage IV signet ring adenocarcinoma. I am so lost and hopeless. This cant be happening. It is not fair. My wife doesnt deserve to see me d...
