Yes she is! Although, she's always seems like she's in a rush but that's to be expected when you're getting treated at MSK.

Re: Anyone diagnosed in their 20's?

Yes. Diagnosed on my 27th birthday actually. I noticed that you get treated at MSK. So do I, I wonder if we have the same oncologist? I see Dr. Stadler. Do you live in the city? I'm from North Jersey, and I have yet to meet anyone in this area going through colon cancer in their 20's. Hey Bina, I w...

Anyone diagnosed in their 20's?

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone on this board was diagnosed in their 20's or 30's? I was diagnosed right before my 26th birthday and I'm 27 now. I have a colonoscopy coming up tomorrow and waiting until February to follow up on a liver spot. After chemo last August I was feeling so good and p...

Re: Liver spot seen on CT...Should I be concerned??

This might sound silly, but if on my CT scan report it says "resolution of right ovarian cyst," does that mean that the cyst is no longer there? From the web: Complete Response (CR): The complete resolution or disappearance of targeted cancerous lesions, through treatment. Sounds like it ...

Re: I did it!

I don't think anyone doubts that diet is a big part of helping your body fight cancer. BUT, even at stage 3, doctors tell you that surgery alone might be curative. Chemo at that point is just a back up, to prevent recurrence. So, there's a huge chance that at stage 2, you were cured by surgery alone...

Re: Liver spot seen on CT...Should I be concerned??

OKAY, results are in! "Punctate 2 mm hyperintense T2 foci are seen within hepatic segment 7 and 8 corresponding to low density lesions on prior CT exam. Lesions are much too small to characterize, however are suggestive of small cysts. Continued follow up can be obtained. No enhancing hepatic m...

Re: Liver spot seen on CT...Should I be concerned??

This whole thing about liver lesions is really confusing to me. My previous liver MRI said the following: MRI done on 1/16: Hepatic segment 5 simple cyst measuring 0.5 cm. Hepatic segment 8 cyst measuring 0.4 cm. No suspicious hepatic lesions identified. No biliary ductal dilatation. If they identif...

Re: Liver spot seen on CT...Should I be concerned??

The only way to be certain is have the tissue biopsied. We've encountered this ourselves recently. The MRI report from my husband's MRI last week says that the 2nd spot on his liver "demonstrates imaging features most consistent with a benign etiology such as a sclerosed hemangioma." This...

Re: Liver spot seen on CT...Should I be concerned??

So, I got my oncologist to move up my MRI to November 14.. still a little far away, but better than 4 months... I didn't get to talk to her directly because apparently she's on jury duty this week, but she relayed the message and the nurse called me. I'm going to do my best to try and stay positive ...

Re: Liver spot seen on CT...Should I be concerned??

My doctor never mentioned a PET scan at all. Only an MRI and/or CT scan in 4 months... If it is too small, a PET scan may not be able to pick it up. For some people who do get a liver met, yes sometimes the CEA will go up. Maybe something to consider. When was your last CEA? As others have said, ma...

Re: Liver spot seen on CT...Should I be concerned??

Hi and welcome, sorry for the reason you are here. Did they check your CEA? Is it a good marker for you? Do you know if your cancer was well defined, or moderatly differetiated or poorly differetiated? Is there any way you could get a PET scan? Hope you get answers soon. Lee My CEA has never been a...
