Re: Brother In Law's Total Colectomy - 40X a Day on Toilet

Hi
I was in similar position for some time ( maybe 4-5 months) needing washroom 20-30 times .
Has he been tested for C Difficile infection ? If not , get it done.
Also I feel that exercise especially yoga exercises for stomach area may help.
Prayers for him.

Re: Lynch?

Dori, best wishes for you. If there are multiple members in your family Who are suffering from various types of cancer especially cologne and endometrial then Lynch is a definite possibility.
Try to get the test done from reliable cancer centre or the bottle has these tests are really sensitive.

Re: Vit D and immunotherapy

Depending on your skin colour - black , brown or white , daily dose of sunshine is the best solution to ensure your vitamin D levels. Darker your skin colour the longer time you need to be out in direct sunshine. White skinned people need maybe 15to 20 minutes of exposure and up to an hour for reall...

Re: An aspirin a day helps keep bowel cancer away

I have been taking aspirin 150 mg since the past 3 years or so.
It is definitely beneficial for people having Lynch Syndrome as per the various articles I have read.
I would strongly recommend it.

Re: Switching back to Pembro

Finally after almost 3 years of immunotherapy and 2 years of clear CT and blood work , the onco team has decided to stop further infusions. It is still largely an uncharted territory but some data has emerged to suggest that it is time to remove the immunotherapy life jacket . Tighter monitoring reg...

Best of luck Trevor. 4 Infuisions may be too few to assess. Be wary of pseudoprogression. I am sure it will work out for you. Hi Henry123.....can you tell me more about your warning to beware of pseudo progression? My husband was just taken off of a clinical trial after 3 infusions due to “progress...

Re: “Near” Complete Clinical Response and what to do next

I would say trust your doctors. This is what they do. Also, a stoma isn’t automatic. I was prepped for one but the surgeon determined that it wasn’t necessary in my case. They won’t know anything for sure until they open you up and see what’s what. I concur that they don't have exact picture till t...
