Re: Too many tumors to count... newbie here

It is very sad to read your story, many of us have been there but when it 'happens' to us, we feel we are alone - fear is very debilitating. You've come to a great place for support and additional insight from those who are also on this journey. Roswell Park Cancer Institute is pretty amazing, and I...

Re: Larry has an eviction date!!!

You will indeed slay this dragon! How old is Bean, may I ask? Love the term of endearment. . .is there a story behind it? I have a 'Little Bear' who isn't so little anymore, but 'bear' stuck after she was being a 'bear' on a vacation when her sister (identical twin) was getting a wee bit more attent...

Re: I cannot turn it off, scared about bone stuff

It would be super hard not to worry. I find if I keep my focus on the moment I'm in (not always easy), I can release the stress and enjoy where I am. Mediation has been incredibly helpful through this journey.

Hugs to you, have a beautiful day.

Woo, Hoo! Wow, what a range of emotions as you approach 10/5, and how incredibly exciting that you will finally get to evict Larry. Such a positive, funny woman. . . Love that you take time to write those 'special letters' 'just in case.' I've started mine too. Do you hand write them? I am typing th...

Re: Port Removal -- ASAP or wait for first scan?

Hi, as others have said, it is a personal decision. My first port I just wanted gone when I was done with chemo. I wanted to return to or create my new normal and that was an unwanted reminder. My second port, (new primary cancer diagnosis) I wanted to keep for a year post chemo because of the likel...

Re: New to the "Club" - Emotional Process

Hi, I too am a former lurker. . . I've been working through the physical and emotional processes for years with three primary cancers. Just when I think I'm ok, I slip back to feeling as though I'm emotionally raw. And that is okay, for me because that is my new normal. I find my bootstraps and pick...
