Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Cea level went from 1.4 to 1.8. I don’t care! I’m ok for now and I’m happy. I haven’t been happy or relieved in six to eight months. First Scan since surgery is Aug 4th. I have no idea what to eat anymore or what supplements to take. My potassium is always low and I need to lose 50 lbs! It’s time to...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Feeling relieved! Colonoscopy was clear. Thanks to my tumor they couldn’t see the rest of my colon during the first one. All clear! GI dr said the surgeon did a nice neat resection and he said I didn’t need another colonoscopy for 3-5 years. How can it be? I refuse to wait that long. Too nervous! Bl...

[quote="shawna"]3C here. 15 of 15 nodes positive.

I had 12/17 positive and 12 rounds of chemo. I plan on sticking around a long time. I don’t care what stats say.

Eat nuts. I like your post Lydia (teacher2017} :D sigh its been some rough nights always worried and thinking about it. Scared it will come back. I’m trying to be positive. Re: Not sure how to feel right now

Well that’s just great. I’m totally screwed then. But I heard that it goes up depending on if you had chemo. This is bulshit. You ruined my day. The 5-year relative survival rate for people with stage I colon cancer is about 92%. For people with stage IIA colon cancer, the 5-year relative survival r...

Re: Stage 3C

I had 12/17 LNs. Just finished 12 rounds of folfox and have a colonoscopy on May 30 then bloodwork. I feel great. I’m optimistic and I hear many stage 3s do well. Keep your chin up. There is a thread of stage 3 stories here. Find them! They help!

Re: Not sure how to feel right now

Maybe this is just wishful thinking but I was told that stage 3 had a better prognosis than 60%. My onc said it was almost 80% after chemo...I also know from some research that the five year data is not very clear. It includes the elderly and those who chose to not do chemo. Not sure if I believe an...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

I have to say that not a day goes by that I don’t worry about the future. But I feel like I just beat a giant. Could I be crazy and actually have it returning? Sure but today I feel normal and did normal mom-like things. I have a colonoscopy in May and a scan in July. I don’t know where my pathology...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Just wanted to post an update. I AM FINISHED WITH CHEMO! I could scream it all over the place. I know this can come back and this may be the first of many but I feel free. I am tired and beaten up but I am still here. Breathing. I’m determined to enjoy this for even a bit of time. Colonoscopy on May...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

You are really close to the end of the mop up chemo! I hope the next rounds are not so hard and you will be NED for ever! If the oncologist says 6 is like 12, are you not tempted to stop now that you are over 6? All the best Claudia Since there were 12/17 LNs involved- the oxi was lowered but not c...
