I also use the lidocaine cream. I just use a little dab of it an hour before infusion is scheduled. I just put some plastic wrap over it. A very small square to cover the port. Mine is on the left hand side of my upper chest, about 4-5 inches below my collar bone. It was sore and sensitive for about...

Re: any peeps with BRAF mutation on here?

Good to hear that news, I'm sure!! :) CT scan shows continued positive news!! We've decided to drop the oxi. Since we plan on me being around for a very long time, we don't want to take the chance that there are permanent damages. If it starts going the other way, we can always add it back in. MRI s...

More than likely. If it has THC in it you will need to get it from a dispensary, depending on where you live. CBD oils and such are legal in all 50 states. They do not have THC in them are are made from hemp instead of marijuana. I'm on the fence of whether or not CBD oil does anything. I'm not usin...

I really hate to say "welcome to the forum" since the reason you found it really sucks. I will say that I am glad you found us. It sounds like you have a good plan in place and a nice fighting attitude :) I don't have any thoughts to add at the moment. But if something crops up that I have...

Re: any peeps with BRAF mutation on here?

For the nausea, keep a chart of how long after infusion time and the nausea starts. If he can stay ahead of it, it is better. Example: for myself, my nausea started in the late afternoon after pump disconnect. So I pop a pill about 2 pm on the day of disconnect. That's all that I need for the cycle....

Re: CT Scan Just came in Liver Met (one)

Thanks everyone. I feel so disappointing in myself for not doing surgery in June. I may have been done with this. The W&W protocol I did I should of done chemo as a mop-up and I probably wouldn't be in this situation. I hate thinking this way and I know I shouldn't but I put myself in now such ...

I had my first post-treatment CT on Tuesday and got the results today. NED!! ... My oncologist is going to look over the scan herself and go over it with me at my next office visit. Congratulations on your NED status. Good news! What I would like to suggest is that you use your next meeting with th...

Re: any peeps with BRAF mutation on here?

CT scan is done. I got home and just for shits and giggles, I checked my medical portal and noticed that there was a new lab report posted. My CEA is still declining! Yay!! :D It was 90.7 and is now down to 70.7. Chemo is still working and I have a great feeling about the CT scan. Crossing fingers, ...
