Re: Anyone have experience with this???

I've heard of a few that have reached long term NED status. They don't post here much anymore from what I understand. I was just turned down for HIPEC which was devastating for me. They did say that a change in chemo was warranted since there is progression under FOLFOX. I was encouraged to do the c...

Re: Life Earthquake: Wednesday Feb 21 Rectal Cancer T3C N2 M0

I can't imagine the port being used this Friday as it is very sensitive to touch, the incision very raw looking, with plenty of bruisi...

Re: Life hacks anyone?

For the first month or so, I would use a large clip that you use for a stack of papers (those big black clips for office use) and just clip the seatbelt to my sleeve at the shoulder. I kept it in the cup holder when not in use. Now I don't use anything. Took a while before it was no longer sensitive

Re: Chemo before or after surgery?

Hi again. My mom is getting her port tomorrow and will start her FOLFOX chemo on Monday. Did anyone with this same protocol have experience with hair loss? She has pretty thick, healthy hair so we are hoping for the best. Also what about travel while on chemo? Any experience or advice? My strong-wi...

Re: Stage 2- no follow up care???

I was 2A. I really don't mean to scare you. I'm now dealing with a nasty metastasis. I had no chemo after the initial surgery. No lymph nodes were involved, all margins clear. 3 years after the resection, metastasis. And now here I am. Fighting a huge battle. I'm just unlucky, or so I've been told. ...
