Re: very discouraged with this cancer business

Hello Since you are msi-H , please explore immunotherapy options . And if you can afford go in for Nivolumab or Keytruda off plan while awaiting for approval in Canada. If not able to get local approval, consider overseas options. Best wishes. Hi Henry, Thanks for the advice. I know it has been a m...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

It takes a while to get used to it. There will be some pain for about a week. It is still an incision from a surgical procedure. I was so afraid of it hurting for a month after. Only giving sideways hugs, patting it clean in the shower, gently patting it dry, gently putting lotion on. Now it's no b...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Hi teacher, I'm glad to hear the port placement went smoothly, they played music during my procedure too and I think one of the male nurses sang. It was actually very nice and made it seem very routine like a visit to the dentist (with better drugs!) I had no pain during procedure and like you said ...

Re: Diagnosed stage 4 cc from CT

I got my histology report today and it’s not great I have invasive poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma with rare signet ring forms which also has liver and peri mets. This diagnosis terrifies me as this type ofcancer is rare and prognosis is bleak. Adam, I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. ...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

So I tried some meditation this weekend and had a Reiki healing session. Not that I was ever into it before but it seemed to help clear negative thoughts and relax me. Still getting that port put in on Friday and chemo next Wed. What do you do to relax and de-stress? I've been interested in trying ...

Paper on a posterior approach from 2014 (with pictures): https://bmcgastroenterol.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1471-230X-14-158 I guess that you can get an idea as to how difficult the surgery is from the paper and the pictures. The video view is with the camera with a mostly inside view. It ...

Re: GOOD NEWS ON BEANSMAMA

Hello, everyone, Going to be pretty short (and can't guarantee proper spelling lol) Thank you all so much for all the positive thoughts. I don't remember cussing up a storm etc. I would wake up and then go back under because I was waking up combative. It was very much like Alice in wonderland. My m...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Was just at the oncologist and got my port education and chemo info. What a thrill. Why is everyone so calm in the waiting room? This was surreal to me. Probably because they've gone through the scared, crying, and every other emotion that goes along with getting a cancer diagnosis. They are now on...
