Re: Possible stenosis at anastomosis

Hi Susie, Hope all goes well when you see your doctor but it sounds like your personal anatomy is just a bit quirky (in a good way I'm sure!) Anything new and outside the norm is always stressful. I echo your comments, Karen aka Miss Molly is a treasured resource of information and reassurance to al...

Re: Mop up chemo experiences

First CEA after chemo. It is .5. Yippee Congrats! That's awesome and so low! It is but I was rereading medical summaries and found a comment that my CEA was negative. Don't know what that means? Is my tumor not show CEA markers? I saw surgeon yesterday about possible rectal prolapse that my ob/gym ...

Re: Mop up chemo experiences

Glad to hear that you're feeling better. I react to anything unusual now too, things that I would ignore before get scrutinized and researched. If output is a lot I worry about dehydration, if it's too little I worry about blockage... it's enough to drive one bonkers! Take care and keep on feeling b...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Good luck with the remaining test results! I hope everything comes back normal and clean as a whistle so you can continue to enjoy your summer! I have no idea how bloodwork can look perfect when there are mets and rising CEA but that's how mine has been for awhile now. I've never been NED so I'm gra...

My container garden is pitiful this year, I can count the cherry tomatoes I've harvested and so far not one cucumber but it's flowering so there's still hope! How d...

So cool! Only a week to go, good luck with this last surgery! Atoq It's hard to describe the feelings. Sometimes happy, sometimes odd, sometimes worried. I have all of these Ostomy Supplies as well and I've been looking around the web to see what to do with them. Life with cancer changes you so muc...

Re: Mop up chemo experiences

Sounds like a good plan, Susan Sorry you couldn't enjoy your cake but I bet your tastebuds will start kicking in soon once the chemo is totally out of your body. It's hotter there than in Sonoma, I imagine it's a challenge with it being so hot yet AC hurts... crazy to even think about and I know th...

Re: Mop up chemo experiences

The doctor ordered CEA. I have to go in to see him to get results. I am going in August when I go for port flush. I am going to ask for scan. Surgeon wants an all clear before I go in for reversal. I am going to see a local surgeon to see if she will repair some of the damage done to my bum during ...

Re: Mop up chemo experiences

How do you know it worked? Did you do any followup PET scan, MRI? Oncologist said just come back in 6 months. S This is the surveillance schedule that my oncologist at Dana Farber recommended: Three months after you complete the chemo, we will perform a CT scan to make sure you are disease free and...
