Re: FINANCIAL PLANNING / ADVICE NEEDED

I'm sorry you have to deal with all this. As mentioned earlier, I would check with the social worker at the treatment center (if they have one). You can also check with the hospitals Financial Department as most have financial assistance programs (at least in the U.S.). If you are U.S. based, a lot ...

Keep getting better day by day! And I agree, our pets are a good lap warmer on chilly days.
Hope you have nothing but positive news Tuesday!

Re: A Difficult Year

I can't imagine the emotional pain your family has endured throughout the year. Positive thoughts for you and DH for good health going forward. Hopefully each passing day will brighten a little more as you remember the family fun times that have been shared.

Re: Right side pain --mets?

Sorry you have this added stress, but hang in there. I am 4 months out from my right hemicolectomy and at various times have also experienced dull and sharp pains on the right side. They would come and go and I never can connect to a specific cause (food, day in chemo cycle etc.) ONC and surgeon bot...

Re: Inserting Port or not

I had my port installed a day before my first Folfox treatment so I can't comment on not having it. I can say I'm very glad I have it. It is on my upper right chest and sticks out a little, but does not interfere with anything I try to do. I think it makes the days with the pump easier as my arm is ...

Re: Question about bleeding

I have colon cancer and am on FOLFOX only (cycle 6 of 12 started today), but noticed a somewhat similar occurrence. I did call my ONC and as my next appt. with the PA ONC was a few days away, we spoke more about it then. She believes it's a fissure and will keep an eye on it. Mine first started afte...

Re: Just told I have a mass in rectum

I'm really sorry you have this happening, but you will get through it. It's hard not to freak out while waiting to find out what's going on. Try to breathe and take it a step at a time. As the others have said, it will probably be a bit of a whirlwind for a while and you'll have a range of feelings....
