Thanks everyone, for your replies. Just an update. Had my MRI and CT. It would appear as though there is no spread, except to perhaps 1 node. It would also appear as though the tumor is a little father up than initially suggested by my colonoscopy. So, it may become classified as sigmoid. I will me...

Once you have a treatment plan things will be better. It seems like you play defense until than and than you get your chance to play offense. My wife was 38 when diagnosed. She had a 7cm mass about 7cm up in her rectum. Your a bit higher which is a very good thing. Along with the MRI and CT consider...

It has been a God sent for my wife for both radiation and now the reversal surgery (potty training as we call it).

You may also want to consider a PET scan along with the CT scan.

My wife is three weeks past from having had her reversal. She only spent one night in the hospital. The actual surgery was 70 mins. One thing that I was surprised by is that the wound is left open. You say that his CEA is 1.0 currently, was his CEA higher at on time? Has it been a good indicator in the past?

The MRI was still inconclusive, so I am going to get a PET scan. If the 1 CM spot lights up then it’s malignant and my oncologist said a surgeon can remove it.
