Re: Bizarre results, please help!

You say that his CEA is 1.0 currently, was his CEA higher at on time? Has it been a good indicator in the past?

Re: Scan scheduled

The MRI was still inconclusive, so I am going to get a PET scan. If the 1 CM spot lights up then it’s malignant and my oncologist said a surgeon can remove it. He is concerned because this didn’t show up a year ago when I had my first scan. Question: did anyone here develop benign liver spots durin...

Good luck with the lung surgery. Your take down surgery is giving my wife some hope. We are one week out from her surgery.

Re: Stage 4 support?

My wife is a stage four. She is about seven months NED now. We have scheduled her take down surgery in two weeks. Other than that we are dealing with some lymphadema in her right leg. Hoping for good results on the PET.

Re: Colon cancer screening at 45 - New guidelines

this is for sure a step in the right direction. Had only my wife been scoped two years earlier when we first noticed issues and got told hemorrhoids, IBS, Celiac, etc. maybe she would have not been stage four.

Re: Scan scheduled

My scan came back all clear, except there is one teeny 1 cm spot on my liver that they want to check. Both the radiologist and oncologist don't think it looks suspicious, but I have to get an MRI to confirm. My bloodwork has been normal so they don't think it's malignant. But they want me to do the...

Re: Mom took last chemo med before mother's day....

Great to hear that she is not needing chemo and is doing well.. We are currently waiting on the dye test to check my wife's connection than we have been cleared for her reversal. She is way excited. I am cautiously excited and hoping that the potty training goes well after. I'm going to keep checkin...

Re: Finally....some really great news!!!

Just finally getting back to this forum. It's been a hell of a week in my professional life! jep -- the oncologist originally thought he would need 2 months chemo - liver surgery - then 4 months "mop up" chemo. But, that was when we thought that the spot on segement 5 could be cancerous a...
