I didnt have radiation or Chemo, but I had one colonoscopy that discovered the mass, and the surgeon
wanted to do a second one before surgery to scope it out, and mark where he was cutting.. This was after
I had CT and MRI..

I went from two days of diharia post reversal to Constipation fairly quickly.. Not sure what normal is.. But I dont believe it was/is blockage problems.. Gradually the constipation has been getting better. If I had to guess what happening to me, since not as much rectum left, theres not enough build...

I had hard time urinating after reversal, they measuring my output and not much there for a day or
So, I think I heard mention of maybe having to put catheter back in, and thought of that got me going.
It will gradually get better. Good luck

Good luck Basil. I sort of similar situation,but stage 1, so no radiation or chemo, had most rectum removed temp bag for two months. Its been about 6 weeks since the reversal. Im doing well but still having bathroom isuues. I been eating just about everything what I used to eat, except nuts. I cant ...

Thanks for the thread and all the good sugestions from everybody, I'm a day behind Mealleous on my reversal. I'm sure everybody's response is different, especially depending on what they had chopped out, and whether Chemo and rad. I am happy to report after my second day home, no more bloody water.....

As Andre mention, drink more than normal amount of water, as you not absorbing as
much since big colon not in equation.

Great! No place like home. The ostomy bags are a little tricky.. I got good instruction before surgery and after on how to change them, and also on getting supplies.. Ive only changed two so far, on my own. The first one went well, but I think i forgot to dry off the skin completely, before applying...

Your Mum is 6 days ahead of me. I had surgery on May 23rd. I believe I have stage 1. I'm scheduled to meet surgeon on July 7th, to discuss Ileosotmy reversal. I was wondering How soon it is wise to have it. I think the dr plans to look inside first to see how resection has healed, Not sure how that'...
