Re: Scary times . . .

I (not the cancer patient, my husband is) recently had a colonoscopy and was very impressed by the Endoscopy/Surgical Center's use of PPE and infection control methods. My husband, on the other hand, has found himself left hung out to dry by Dr. Kemeny. We are basically done with her and have to fig...

Re: People who know radiology Lung Lobe QUESTION

I haven't been to this forum in a while. Thanks so much for the comment, kandj. Glad you are out of NYC.... Mayor Bill De Blasio stated on the news today that NYC is 10 days away from running out of ventilators and protective gear. Scary times! Stay safe!

Re: People who know radiology Lung Lobe QUESTION

I just got a message from Dr. Kemeny about the scan concern/question I had. She says "nothing to be concerned about." GOOD!

Re: People who know radiology Lung Lobe QUESTION

Thanks JJH.

kandj, It's not that we don't want to go in April for his next scheduled scans. We just want to avoid MSK as much as possible as an employee (at Westchester) has tested positive for COVID-19.

People who know radiology Lung Lobe QUESTION

My husband has an appointment (scans and consult) at MSK next month that we do not want to go to. However, I have a concern about his recent CT (Jan 19) that I could not ask at our last consult (Jan 20) b/c I got the report afterwards. My concern is that the Jan 19 report says, "Unchanged punct...

Hi Mike, Good to hear you are doing well.

Julie, Interesting that you've read that glycinate is most absorbable. I have read that citrate is the most absorbable form. Could you please provide a link? thanks!

New Yorkers Needed!

My husband (the one w/cancer & is in public relations/affairs) has recently taken on a new client and is working on a drug-price control campaign that has the potential to impact chemo-drugs. He needs to get people from the state of New York involved. If interested in learning more, please PM me...

Re: Liquid biopsies and limitations

If he's an expert as it gets in the area of LB's, then I will definitely value his opinion on this. I don't know what happened to my husband's Weill-Cornell doctor. We got the the test done with the intention of having a consultation with her to go over the results. I called twice to set up that app...

Re: Liquid biopsies and limitations

Thanks, Rob! Those are all the reasons why we haven't opened and read the report only articulated better than I could. I think we are making the "right" decision" not to read it, for now. Should a recurrence happen (god forbid!), then it may come in handy. We had it done to get a &quo...

Liquid biopsies and limitations

My husband and I STILL have not read the report from his LB done at Weill-Cornell this fall. Unfortunately, my husband's Weill-Cornell doctor went MIA as has not followed up with us. We do have a downloaded copy of the report which neither of us have opened. We have much trepidation about doing so b...

Re: Does anyone NOT feel supported

I don't recall ever being asked to leave this forum, but I am sure that people such as veronica would like to see that happen. Also, I haven't had any negative interactions at facebook. The HAI pump people group (one admin in particular) just didn't like hearing what was going on with my husband's c...

Re: Does anyone NOT feel supported

I have little to no support system. From time to time I have family who help when it's an emergency, but, for the most part, I carry all the weight of caring for my husband who has essentially no family. I thought that this forum and another (HAI pump people group on facebook) would be a great resou...

Congrats on the good news/clear scans!

"It wasn't mentioned in the CT scan a year ago. I guess different pathologists report different things and the report in 2019 was focused more on cancer."

Yes, that's for sure.

Re: After HAI

"You are preaching to the choir Juliej you can't tell him anything he has to fallon his face to 'get it'"

omg....sounds just like my husband... only he has to fall again and again and again before he gets it. Exasperating.
