Re: All Lung Nodule Experiences

Thats exactly what I am doing. I asked why the need for another full scan and she said no reason I do the same with everyone. I still might go ahead and get the scan but I just want a few other opinions before I go in for another full CT. It just makes it stressful when communication is poor between...

Re: All Lung Nodule Experiences

I am really confused on what to do. My doctor won't change the order to lung only and my GP thinks I don't need so many scans since I had stage 1 and my node had been stable for a year. I need a new oncologist to follow me. My 2mm node was on my lung when I was diagnosed so they found it on my first...

Re: All Lung Nodule Experiences

How often do they scan for a 2mm lung node if its been stable with no change after 1 year? I had stage 1 T2 O/27 nodes. Usually Stage 1 do not get full body scans every six months. My first year I had six month apart scans and now its the 18 month and she orders another. My last scan was September w...

Re: All Lung Nodule Experiences

HI susie0915 how often are you getting a full CT scan for the lung node? OR how many months apart are all your scans? I have a 2mm node that has been stable for a year. I had stage 1 T2, 0/27 nodes. 1 year colonoscopy was clean. So far its been 18 months since my surgery and I had CT before surgery,...

Re: Advice/Support

Dont listen to anyone else but yourself. If you feel something is off and are concerned then go to the GI doctor, tell him everything and get the colonoscopy. its your life so be pro active when it comes to your health!

Re: Colonoscopy without sedation, should I?

I had one 9 years ago without sedation and it was painful but the doctor was not very nice. For my one year colonoscopy after my resection for Stage 1 colon cancer in the Sigmoid I decided to go without but my doctor told me if it gets bad to let him know and they will give me a shot of fentanyl and...

Re: Stage 1 colon Cancer, CEA levels, CT scans

Yes this would be my fourth CT scan since I had one years before my colon cancer. I just don't want secondary lung cancer from so much radiation. Good luck with your husband. Keeping all the people on these boards in my thoughts and prayers!

Re: Stage 1 colon Cancer, CEA levels, CT scans

You have given me great advice and I agree with you! I do think I should get the scan and even thought to myself that my tumor is the later of Stage 1 although low grade. I can't live knowing there could be something brewing. My last scan was September 6th so give a few days and I will schedule. Tha...

Re: Stage 1 colon Cancer, CEA levels, CT scans

Hi and thank you for the response. I did check the Gp's lab and it uses the Siemens method which has a 2.5 cutoff. So I feel I am getting close to that with the 1.1. The Hospital lab cutoff is 3.0 and mine was .9 so I should go with that! Don't know the method the Hospital labs uses. Its just odd th...

Re: CEA and CT Scans

How many months apart are your CT scans. I am so freaked out over my CEA always go up and never down. .3 to .9 in 16 months post surgery. It never was out of range even when diagnosed. 1.5 day of surgery . I dont know if I should go get the CT scan that puts me at four scans in 16 months.

Stage 1 colon Cancer, CEA levels, CT scans

HI, I have posted before regarding CEA's so I hope you all don't mind another question on the subject. I am so confused about CEA levels and follow up for my particular colon cancer. This is my history: Stage 1 Resection 9/26/16 No Chemo required CEA: 9/26/16 1.5 CT 9/13/16 Clear with 2mm node on lu...

CEA and CT Scans

Hi, In Sept of 2016 I was diagnosed with Stage 1 colon cancer. I had surgery to remove the tumor which turned out to be a low grade cancer, 23 lymph nodes were removed with no sign of cancer and clear margins. Before my surgery my CEA levels where measured in two different labs. One came back at .9 ...
