Re: Just diagnosed and it's EVERYWHERE...what to do now??

First off, don't panic! . Easier said than done, I know. My husband also had extensive metastatic spread at diagnosis in Nov 2016 and he;s still here fighting today. We are also in Atlanta Georgia. If you are not already I would go to Emory university hospital, they have access to some of the latest...

Re: 8 years war

Thank you rp1954 for sharing this intimate account of your ongoing "war" You must be rather tired, becasue it is indeed a war. Since the very first time I started reading this forum you have been a huge inspiration to me . My husband was stage 4 at diagnosis, with widespread metastases and...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

Melissa, I am so sorry to hear about you being upset, I know all about the hiding of tears  I also know that both my husband and myself have our good and our bad days, days of hope, days of optimism, days of despair and the occasional rare days of normalcy when we don't think about the cancer a...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

Jess, I am so sorry to hear you are having such a hard time, believe me I know how you feel. I just wanted to let you know that all those feelings are of course perfectly normal, even the nightmares unfortunately, butt--- it does get better As the chemo starts to work on the tumors and you get into ...

Re: Things people say or don't say but it's okay

I love this, being also open minded and maybe just a little bit crazy. If I wasn't already crazy the whole cancer/care giver thing has driven me that way  I'm very much into nutrition and supplements, always have been even before hubby got his diagnosis. Now to try and get him to eat a few mor...

Re: Is it ok to share good reports while getting chemo treatment

Yes please do share good news here, I love hearing other people's good news We're all in this stupid cancer boat together so hearing someone made it safely to shore or at least some of the way there is ALWAYS encouraging To me anyway, maybe not everyone feels that way, I even like hearing others goo...

Re: Trial at NIH for G12V KRAS mutant

By the way: this trial is closely related to the TIL trial our Celine underwent, and had success with :)

Yes indeed, which is why I am interested :)

Thank you again Maia, you are fantastic

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

Kim- I have been meaning to respond to your last post for days now, but I am sure you know how it is when you are dealing with a loved one with cancer, nothing quite goes as planned Yes , I don't know exactly what I was expecting at MSK, maybe that the doc would bring a bottle of the shelf and say, ...

Re: Trial at NIH for G12V KRAS mutant

Thanks for this Maia

I am always keeping an eye open for promising and relevant sounding trials

I am fairly sure my husband has the G12 K Ras mutation, but how would we go about finding out about the HLA-A 1101 positive part?
