Re: CURED STAGE IV / 11 years on April 11th

Hi Diane!
Happy to hear you remain well in Villa Rica—a town from which I have happy memories of visiting my grandmother when I was a boy.
With God's grace, I am still gratefully chugging away here in NC as well.
Regards,
Bill

Re: It's come back - :(

Unless I missed it, you may want to discuss having a port implanted near a collarbone for the infusions as they can be hard on the veins. I had 9 rounds of FolFox via a port in 2010 for Stage 3 and still have neuropathy in my feet and find it harder and more uncomfortable to walk and must always wea...

Re: For Stage III's: NED for how long now?

10 year mark for me too—so John & I are nearly twins! I made it home from my surgery the day before my 60th birthday and am blessed and grateful to have just turned 70! It's been a great bonus decade—both my daughters got married and I've seen the birth of 3 granddaughters, so I couldn't be more...

Re: Diverticulitis?

Hi Garbovatwin, I think Usmccolon was on-the-money and I hope you are all done with this now & with the Hep C as well. The only thing I'd add is as I understand it, diverticulosis becomes diverticulitis when you get a bacterial infection which if it becomes severe enough can rupture the colon wa...

Re: PET confusion

The reading of your husband's PET scan does sound like very good news and I understand why you would wonder about your husband is not feeling as good as the report indicates. I imagine the best thing to do is for you and your husband to discuss this with his oncologist at your next visit. I hope it'...

Re: ECG Report...Can Anyone Help me Understand It?

Cynthia, My daughter who is an RN concurs. Her comments were: "Well, it sounds like she's had some sort of cardiac muscle damage with the ST elevation, and shortness of breath isn't uncommon with valve damage or stenosis. I can't believe someone wouldn't mention the EKG to her. She really shoul...

Re: New here- my husband recently diagnosed with liver and bone mets- age 44

Sonia, From your description of your husband's metastatic cancer symptoms, his condition appears to be quite serious, as I am sure you already know. As I understand it, the liver, lung, and abdomen are more frequent colon cancer metastatic sites while bone metastases are less common, which I imagine...
