Re: Today

Hi Beach, Hang in there, we are in the same boat, sometimes wondering if our paddle will fall in the water, or it tries to fall in the water and we grab it right before it does and keep on moving. The struggle is definitely real!! LOL... I also have my ups and downs. There are times when I am watchi...

Re: Xeloda and abdominal pain

Nicolina, I have abdominal pain with Xeloda. It has been ups and down of severe pain to whirring in my stomach/abdomen. The Whirring is what tells me that I know I have trapped gas. Usually it follows with pebble like poop coming out of my ostomy. If I lie on my right side gas does come out after a ...

Re: Colostomy and Gas Pains

Lee thank you so much for being there for us with colostomies. Your experience is so valuable. I avoid straws. Things have gotten a lot better with the oregano tea daily and papaya pills for digestion. I am picking up some probiotics as well. I also think pfccr is trolling, it makes no sense the ada...

Re: Colostomy and Gas Pains

prayingforccr, at this point I think that everyone knows how you feel, and it is less than helpful to tell someone bravely soldiering on that you would RATHER BE DEAD than be them! Could I kindly request that you put a sock in it? Rickimaroo, I'm sorry that I have no experience to share with you. W...

Re: Colostomy and Gas Pains

Honestly its not that bad. The colostomy has been amazing. I don't mind it at all, and the gas pains are getting better, just got to figure the new me better. Praying not sure what's wrong, but I am remembering maybe your the fella that doesn't want a perm bag and rather die, its not bad at all. I a...

Colostomy and Gas Pains

For those with Colostomies, not iloeostomies, do you get recurrent once a week gas pains that are painful and just discomforting? I think what happens to me if I don't go for the whole day, the same day i get whirring noises in my stomach and I know its gas, because I feel like it farts or releases ...

Re: Xeloda Avastin Maintenance Plan

Some pre Christmas good news. My CEA is now 12.9 from 16.1, so down and I hope this begins a downward trend. This is big relief, I hope it keeps going down. Will continue to take the Xeloda. I skipped a day sometimes, and sometimes take less pills, does anyone else do this? Stu did you Mum do this? ...

Re: Xeloda Avastin Maintenance Plan

Zephyr, Claudine, Thanks for the posts gives me hope. I just finished my sixth cycle, the 7th starts this Wednesday. I think pills are slower and given that my Scans didn't show anything, I shouldn't be too concerned. Will wait for PET and hope things go down cause CEA is really stressful. Claudine ...

Re: Xeloda Avastin Maintenance Plan

They don't like to do scans so close to each other. I think recommended is 3 months. He switched to Cat Scans because he knew Pet scans wouldn't find anything at the time my CEA was lower. I am not 100% clear if a pet scan would see something the cat wouldn't, because I would assume the cat scan wou...

Re: New stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis

MSS is usually open to Immunotherapy, TMB only plays a role on those with MSI Isn't it actually the opposite? MSS = micro satellite stable = not a good candidate for immunotherapy, unless you've got a high tumor burden. So your husband would not benefit from it. But I concur with Riki that being BR...
