just stopping by to say hi to all. Been cleared by oncologist, no more follow ups, Surgeon said that he is gonna do scopes for 10 years before he let me go. So life is good, no complains on my end.
thx guys, prs 6 years, that's great. Jolene congrats on 3 years, was told first 2 years are most critical, you did your chemo after chemo/rad, that makes big difference. I still remember my chemo post chemo/rad, 6th round, was so brutal, prs and some other member helped me to get through, will never...
hi prs and the rest of the gang. Just stopping by to say hi, 5 years in the game and score is on the my side. Just had last MRI-negative, CT was negative while back in the summer, scope, all good basically. Symptoms from chemo and rad will be there to remind me. My surgeon said this is last MRI, as ...
hi prs and every body else. I see a lot's of good discussion is going on. For new people, Radiation peak is about 16,17 weeks from the start of the Radiation : http://www.iwwd.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/ECC-2015-NF.pdf 8 round's of chemo is good to have, as this brings recurrence near 0 : https:...
That's now 4 1/2 years NED since the end of my radiation treatment. Hope all my fellow W&Wers on this board are doing well and living life! that's excellent prs! I just had CT scan this week, negative it is. Next week MRI, blood work, in few weeks scope (back pipe exam). It's been 3 years. Over...
Dear WW-ers, In my first Xelox cycle, I experienced a 2 day constipation in the first week of my first cycle. I took Duphlac syrup and was prescribed Domeperidone and it was resolved immediately. Hi I am from Canada currently living in Newfoundland. Sorry to hear Jen, when it comes to diagnosis, MRI would be good idea, to get proper staging. Surgeon is the one that initiate whole process. Onco comes once surgeon decide to proceed with chemo, and if radiation is involved, then they make comb...
Original W&W approach included only chemo/rad, it has evolved since than, now is call TNT (total neoadjuvant chemotherapy), includes chemo than chemo/rad, or chemo/rad than chemo, not sure which order is better. There was big study at Memorial Sloan, I think it finished back in Nov/2018 Here is ...
He had to really look around to find the tattoos. He remarked how everything looked good. That is great news lakeswim lady. When they did sigmoidoscopy on me after chemo/rad, was hard to find the spot, if it wasn't for tattoo they wouldn't be able to find it. Looked like brand new. W&W approach...
Hi. I am posting this question here to this group (the watch & wait group) as they may have noticed this more due to the fact they have not had surgery. I am 10-12 weeks out of radiation and I felt GREAT (more energy than I had in years and my body felt good) until 2 weeks ago. Now I have aches...
That's great lakeswim lady, the approach you had seem to be the choice with better results, first chemo than chemo/rad. 12 weeks is good period to give therapy to work, radiation works for years, when combined with chemo, it's like turbo, so I was told.
