Re: Delaying treatment?

I was induced and ended up with c-section. So you never know what's gonna happen. 4 weeks would make a bigger difference for you than you unborn child. If you are not sure, trust the doctor.

Re: Possibly unnecessary open liver surgery

Your hubby is so lucky to have a supportive spouse. Good luck with the surgery. Boston is a charming city, I enjoyed it every time I was there. Quincy market is one of the must visit place. :)

Re: Traveling on chemo?

I think travelling will help to lift her spirit, however you also need to take into consideration her immune system would be at a low point. Either the long flight or the cruise would be a close environment with a big crowd. Have never been on the cruise, but I know the international flights are not...

Re: Liver spot seen on CT...Should I be concerned??

A lot of people have spots on liver which are simple cysts, and they are never aware of. For liver, MRI is more accurate than CT.

Try to get some rest when you can, even 15 min or 30 min. There is a lot on our shoulder as caregiver, we need to take care of ourselves.

Hope your trip back home smooth.

Anxiety for Caregiver

Waiting for my hubby's colonoscopy to be done. My anxiety has been increasing after chemo completed, and can be overwhelming from time to time, the CT, MRI, blood work, and the colonoscopy. I am a stress eater, and I've ate too much candies lately - not good. Very few family and friends know what we...

Re: 30-40 Grams of Fiber Per Day !!!

Found this calculator which might be helpful. http://www.webmd.com/diet/healthtool-fiber-meter

I find it interesting that the fiber required for female is 1/3 less than for the male. Anyone knows why?

How important is it to have these check ups prior to starting treatment? I've read especially about the...
