Re: My California LAR Story

Thanks everybody! Hugs!

They didn't have me do any chemo at any point. The tumor was a T1N0; the doctors didn't think it was necessary. I did ask multiple surgeons about this; they all had the same recommendation.

Re: My California LAR Story

No problem. I didn't need to do chemo prior to reversal. Various tests found that nothing had reached lymph-nodes and the tumor had not gone outside the colon wall. I believe that the ileostomy reversal surgery took about 2 hours. I was very happy to have the reversal completed; I still feel that wa...

Re: LAR Results, good, bad and inbetween

Thanks! I'm interested in any and all info & feedback. The lesion is 13cm-15cm from the anal verge in the rectosigmoid area. The colonoscopy estimated that it is 5 x 2.5 cm. We believe it is a T2 N0 lesion that has bridged the submucosa to the muscularis propria but not broken through. I believe...

Re: Preparing for Surgery... scared & need advice

Thanks all for the info & support. I'm going to ask about seeing an oncologist as well. Does anyone have opinions about the Colorectal program / staff at UCLA Westwood as it relates to surgery?
