Fluid in Pelvis / PET,CT,Colonoscopy questions

Hi all, I posted a few weeks ago that something popped up on my CT (nodule in presacral area). I was super worried, they scheduled a PET scan, doc put me on Tumor Board (I go to Cleveland Clinic in Florida). Dr messaged me on their app that the PET scan was all clear! HURRAY! However, at today's fol...

Re: Lingering fatigue and changes in stool

For my first year I was tired. I am 3 years out and FINALLY feel normal. I STILL go through bouts of loose stools, etc. I have since the surgery for rectal cancer. It is much better, but depending on my diet, if I eat crappy, or eat too much veggies I can get frequency or sometimes diarrhea. I would...

Re: Long flights with cancer/chemo

I flew from Florida to Pittsburgh every other week for 8 months, 4 months after surgery, with no issues. I was on baby aspirin for cardiac arrest from chemo, but other than that no issues.

Nodule in presacral region on CT scan

Didn’t get great news on my test results. They are seeing a 2.1cm nodule in my presacral region on my 3 year CT scans. Going to have to have a PET scan now it sounds like from the report. Meeting with doc tomorrow. His message to me said he wasn’t too worried, but I am... anyone ever have this? I se...

Re: Cleveland Clinic ?

I also went to Cleveland Clinic in Weston Florida and nothing but great things to say about them. I don't know about further north, but in Florida they are your best bet.

Re: Quick intro -- diagnosed Friday

First, congratulations on the baby. Second, wow you story is almost identical to mine. I was same age, we even look similar based on your picture lol. You "may" have a bag for a short while depending on how much they have to take. I went to a crappy imaging place instead of a big institute...

Re: Quick question - chemo and reversal surgery

I had a jpouch due to rectal cancer, but I can tell you that waiting a month is what I would recommend. I know with regular colon cancer it is a lot easier, but that was one of the most difficult month's of my life. I know you want to get rid of that bag ASAP, but your body really will be a lot happ...

jpouch rectal pains

Getting close to 3 years NED (end of this year.) I've been doing great. I go through spells with frequency when I try and be healthier. I fell off the wagon with a super healthy diet for a while and then when I move back to a high fiber diet I get a lot of frequency and recently had a few boughts of...

Re: Newly Diagnosed Stage 3C Rectal Cancer

That is rough, but to give you some hope, I am about to get my 2 and half year scan, was Stage 3C as well. I only was able to do 3 rounds of chemo, then had cardiac arrest from it (super rare reaction to folfox). I was diagnosed at stage 2, but post surgery was 3C. I opted not to do radiation since ...

Re: To share my “ghost” story

Funny... until I recently had a problem to ask a question, I have been the same way. I have an appt with my colorectal surgeon to take a look at my bum since I have had some pains recently. Though the more I think about it, those pains have been there since a long time ago, just were frequent lately...

Rectal Pain concern / previous rectal cancer

Hi all, Been a long while since I have posted. About 2 and half months ago I got my 2 year all clear scan and had been feeling good. For the past couple of weeks I have had some odd pains in my rectum. It feels similar to when I have had hemorrhoid issues and assuming that is most likely the culprit...
