Cea question

I have seen most protocol for Cea test is three months after surgery. I had my colon resection in November. Stage 1 cancer and my dr wants Cea test every 6 months/ colonoscopy and ct scan yearly. Have any of you waited 6 months for Cea test after surgery.

Re: newly diagnosed newbie

I had my work done at Sloan and it made a huge difference in the keeping all information connected and delivered to me. It was a huge peace of mind during a crappy time. I do not believe it matters when u ...

Re: just had surgery - questions

I had lower resection. I did receive a list of things not to eat and I made sure I did not have a lot of fiber in the beginning as he instantly came out and was not pleasant but everything did work of. Pain 4 months after surgery

So I had a colon resection on nov 2 and have random times of colon pain, lower back pain and abdomen pain. Lately I am scared it's back, but could it just be nerve/ continued post surgery issues. I am worried all over again

Re: Scared Newbie

Hi. Any results yet?? Your case sounds like mine. I actually had a colonoscopy on a Saturday and found out the following Friday that I indeed had cancer on a pedunculated stalk. She was suspicious as soon as she removed it. It was also 3 cm and had to removed in sections. I remember waking up in the...

Help. Ideas for pain

I had a colon resection 1 week ago laproscopically. I am healing well EXCEPT for the awful burning and PAIN from pooping. The pain is so awful it takes my breath away and stings right at the anus. Sorry for being gross but I can't handle it. The dr said to use desitin which when you go 5 times a day...
